★★★★★What a gem of a place! The two bedroom apartments were extremely clean and perfect for an overnight stay before a fishing and bear viewing tour. Ginger always responded very quickly and even welcomed us with a sign on our door and snacks on the kitchen counter. We appreciated all of the “little” extras we found in the apartment. We loved the fire pit area and found a great bar down the road with excellent pizzas. Would highly recommend for families or friends traveling into the Soldotna area. We didn’t get a chance to see any moose but we saw moose tracks near the fire pit.

NillJust wow... Ginger thanks for allowing us the stay. Your lodge is so nice and we did not think we would be staying in a 5 Star lodge but it was! Hope to make another trip and Spruce Haven will be my first call for a stay if I can make another trip! Highly recommend Spruce Haven Lodge in Kenai.

NillSpruce Haven Lodge is located just right between not being too far out of town but being in a secluded restful area that you can take walks around and explore nature and possibly see some eagles and moose. Can even enjoy the fire pit and outdoor grill. It comes well furnished with everything you need, even a tea kettle! Has very comfortable bedding. The owners are very attentive to details and if you have any needs, they take care of them right away. They are very kind. Great Wi-Fi too!

NillIt was a beautiful location, tucked away in the woods. We enjoyed the fire put area and there was a momma moose hanging out in the woods. The BnB was very comfortable, clean and inviting. We really enjoyed our stay, we wanted to stay another night but had to get back home. We will absolutely be back!

NillClean, but they use cleaning supplies that smell so strong, we had to open all of the windows to air the place out. Firepit was cool, and we appreciated the grill. They also had a freezer outside that we could use to store our catch. It was not secured, but nothing went missing. A $250 deposit for one night was required... seemed high to me, and really pointless if someone is going to damage the place. They also charge a $50 non-refundable pet deposit, which was absurd for our small, well-behaved dog. Non-refundable?? If my dog caused one second more work than was required to clean between guests, anyway, they aren't seriously cleaning between guests. Overall, the place just felt like it lacked character and I was so afraid that they would keep our deposit that I was on edge the whole time we were there. It had so much potential, but the owners refused to communicate outside of the VRBO app and with all of the deposits, and rules posted as decor, set it up to be a cold experience.

NillAwesome lodge just a little outside of Soldotna. Open living room/kitchen/dining room makes the place feel large but still cozy. Two bedrooms and one bath. Definitely recommend checking it out!
