Cabin 6 was awesome!!! Newly renovated with beautiful full-sized kitchen, living area with big TV, and comfy bed. This particular cabin is tucked in the corner and seems a little more private than the rest. I liked to sit on the side deck and enjoy the river or open the windows and listen to the sound of the flowing river. Awesome get away. We had a guide trip with Zack H from Frying Pan Anglers- had a great day and caught a lot of fish. Highly recommend the cabin and our guide!

What an amazing stay we had for our Anniversary here! Right off the river we stayed in the in the lodge room #4 it was so perfect. Really comfortable bed and you can see the river right outside your windows and listen to it all night so serene! We will definitely be back 10/10 recommend!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Was nice by the River sure. But this place left a sour taste in my mouth. Robin the owner, was absolutely rude. We were here visiting from out of town, from St. Louis, MO. We had brought our own little grill since we weren’t staying in one of the houses. The. Robin came down was rather rude and angry when we didn’t know we couldn’t have our own especially since she never said anything about if we could or couldn’t. We even called to apologize and instead of having a genuine conversation, she instead wanted to talk down to us. Needless to say won’t be wasting our money here ever again. First and last visit to this lodge area! ROBIN YOU HAVE LOST OUR BUSINESS FOR GOOD!

This lodge is 1 of 2 properties operated by Frying Pan Anglers in Basalt, Colorado. It is normally reserved for fly fishers booking trips through the fly shop, but they do book other stays but at a higher rate. Basalt is just such a quaint and enjoyable place to visit. The downtown has several good eating establishments, and I did not run into a single rude person during my 4 day visit.||||The lodge location is perfect. It is adjacent to the fly shop, 1 block from downtown Basalt, and situated right on the banks of the Frying Pan River. The 4 unit property has been completely renovated, and they were in the process of renovating 2 additional houses when I visited in August 2015.||||The rooms have all of the amenities including a fridge/microwave, dining table, satellite TV, fans, and 2 queen beds. A/C is not provided but is seldom needed, even in the dead of Summer. I felt very secure with just leaving the windows open and listening to the sound of the river.||||The management was a breeze to deal with, and they have some firm and non-negotiable rental terms. I rather liked that as it secured my peace and enjoyment.||||I am very much looking ahead to my next trip to Basalt.

We were in Basalt for a family wedding up the river at a ranch. We had the house and one of the lodge units for 8 people. The house has a full kitchen, living room and porch where we sat and chatted for hours. We had a wonderful time and loved being so close to downtown Basalt. We had been coming to the area since we were children but staying up the Frying Pan River at the ranch. We really enjoyed staying in Basalt.||We loved being on the river which we could hear at night from our rooms.||The rooms were clean and had been carefully renovated. We would all stay at the Frying Pan River Lodge if we returned to Basalt. It is a real find.

Cabin number 6 has a porch overlooking the river. My son fished for hours without leaving the property. He was so pleased with the place. It is a huge cabin, clean and nicely decorated. The river was very swift so it might not be a good place for small children but if you love fishing a great place

Great place! Cozy, comfortable, and close to the Frying Pan River. Plus, staying in the smaller units is very affordable if you have many people. Will definitely be staying here again. Would not recommend going to the fly shop though.

BEWARE OF BOOKING HERE!!! Lodge owner has cancelled our Christmas vacation two years in a row!! Very unprofessional! I would give zero stars if I could. We have been loyal customers for years - we wil not be retuning.
