This was our second stay at the Swiftcurrent. The upstairs room near the river was cozy and clean. Perfect for a low-key Valentines weekend. The hot tub was warm and welcome after our snowshoe. We like the location by the river, walking distance to RMNP. Andreas new bakery/coffee shop/spice store had great pastries and coffee. We enjoyed our mornings there. |Friendly staff.

The hosts are amazing and you can see how much they care for their customers in how the cabins are decorated and how clean they are. The lodge has history in being located at the original entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. We have stayed late fall, winter, and early spring. |We had elk on the property during one of our visits. The cabins are as close to the water as they can be without being in the water. While we have not fished ourselves, we have watched others fish and watched a fishing class on the other side. The other side of the water is forest and is either RMNP or the Y camp. Regardless, the view across the water is outstanding. It is quiet and peaceful at this location and we get refreshed after only a few days there.|The appliances are new and kept up. It is very easy to bring our own food and eat there.|We love the location for the relative peace and quiet compared to lodging on Fall River Road and other busier locations. We have been going there for years and will continue to do so.

The rooms are super cute and cozy with a creek running right behind them that you can sit and watch from your back porch. The bakery just across the parking lot is AMAZING!! They also have such a big selection of different seasonings to choose from. Amongst all of the beautiful scenery and good food everybody is so friendly as well! 10/10 recommend!!

Definitely a must if you’re visiting Estes park. The rooms are super cozy I absolutely loved the blankets. The area around it is so pretty especially in the winter when it’s covered in snow. Phenomenal baked goods all freshly made and an amazing spice store that’s super cute. Will absolutely come again!

This quaint lodge is a beautiful spot and a wonderful launching off point for Rocky Mountain National Forrest. We were here during a conference at the YMCA of the Rockies and this spot was great for us. Easy access to all the places we wanted to go. The Spice Rack is an added bonus... delicious drinks, baked goods and food right across the parking lot.

Being able to get up every morning and sit on our patio by the river was spectacular! The common areas with the swings, rockers and hot tub were so relaxing. The added bonus was being able to hike all the way to RMNP from our cabin! It's an easy hike and a great experience. The room was a bit small, but who spends much time in their room anyway when you're surrounded by such beauty? We would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at the Lodge. It was so comfy an cozy with such comfortable beds. The proximity to the park and downtown made for easy entry and restocking supplies. The kitchen allowed us to make healthy meals that met some dietary restrictions. ||Best of all was the back patio with the chairs and table allowing us to eat meals, relax, play games, and do some art to the sound of the rippling river flowing behind our apartment. We even slept with the windows open. Every every evening we left the park feeling like we were heading home. The onsite Spice Rack is also a pleasant place to pick up a pastry, coffee, tea, or some great spices. Although we left heading to other amazing Colorado national parks, we wished we had stayed at least another day. Just look out for the big Elk who can't read parking signs. 😁

Makes sense that this is a 2-star hotel. Place is terrible. Andrea was the meanest host I've ever experienced. Make sure you don't bring a service animal here, because she'll go out of her way to make sure that it's not welcomed.. Also the walls are paper thin, you can hear your neighbors all night. Will never stay here again.
