Echo Sails Motel

Rooms are clean and cute. We had no hot water. I informed staff and was told the maintenance person is coming the next day. Which means they already knew there was an issue upon us checking in. Then they expected us to go to shower in a different room, instead of just moving us to that room. Then the following day, the issue was still not resolved and they moved us to a smaller room with no price adjustment. Edited to add: we left to venture for the day, upon coming back to our room, we found our room unlocked and had been entered. No, it wasn’t them coming to do a maid service. They were seeing if we checked out! Leaving our room unlocked all day. Also, some outlets don’t work, refrigerator doesn’t work. And all the owner wants to do is give excuses and blame it on booking.com

Great location |Great manager PJ, he never stop working, we were there 5 days. |Is this motel perfect? No|Needs updates, that happens when the motel gets hit by the recent hurricane(s) |Motel was probably at 75% booked, very quiet at dark.|I liked the 50/60s motel design and rooms.

Loved this place! I will definitely be returning. Big spacious clean rooms. Affordable. 5 minute walk to the beach and friendly staff!

Motel is CLOSED but yet they are still accepting reservations! Our daughter almost did not have a place to stay for an upcoming trip because of this! Our research led us to discover that the property is abandoned! The phones don’t work. After a call to the chamber of commerce it was confirmed that the motel is shuttered. Also, there is numerous reviews on other travel sites of patrons showing up, with reservations, only to discover that it is CLOSED! They are not notifying those that made reservations that they are not open!

TV/wifi didn’t work. No hot water. No tv in bedroom. Not enough furniture. Nightstand missing drawer. Beds not anchored and moved at slightest bump. For $35 more you can get a four star hotel. Don’t do it.

Review: Total Scam – Do Not Book I booked a two-night stay at this hotel, only to arrive and realize it was completely abandoned and not taking customers. There were no staff, no activity, and the property looked shut down. When I tried calling the listed contact number, it was non-functional. Beneath it, there was a secondary phone number, which I also called—but no one ever responded. With no other options, I started asking around and, by sheer luck, stumbled upon the owner at the adjacent property. He acknowledged receiving my calls but had deliberately chosen not to return them. Instead, he had my printed reservation in hand, clearly expecting a revenue-generating customer, despite the hotel being entirely non-operational. He then directed me to stay at the adjacent property, which I did not book and which was visibly under renovation, with contractors working on-site. When he gestured toward the so-called lobby, it was clear the place was shut down—the POS system was disconnected, and yet he still had the audacity to suggest I pay $400 in cash for two nights in a hotel that wasn’t even functional. This is outright fraud. The owner knowingly takes reservations for a closed hotel and tries to push guests into an unfinished, unlivable space for cash. Even when renovations are done, do not trust this place. Avoid at all costs.

The room was super clean. The outside might look like the rooms are small, but they're very big. The bed was comfy. The water pressure in the shower was great. You can walk across the street to the beach. There is water on the same side which makes for a great view. The pool was clean and inviting. Staff was amazing. They've got a great policy regarding guests, it's posted outside. I only stayed the weekend. Plenty of parking. I would definitely stay there again. I felt safe.

This place is abandoned. We booked through reservation desk. Com and showed up to see it was closed! Why are they still listed as open? We had to find another place. Why did reservation.com allow this to happen? Who is resonsible for this and why do they still have a job?
