Base Motel

Five minutes after checking in I got a knock at my door by someone I did not want knocking at my door. I was explaining that I wanted him to leave as the manager came to the room and told me to leave and he would refund my money. I was allowed two total people in my room. But he told me I had to leave and I would receive a refund. I never got a refund. When I called to ask why, he said,” I gave it to you!” And hung up. My account still shows they took my money and never refunded it. You WILL get kicked out for reasons beyond your control. Whether they give money back or not is totally up to them and if they decide to give back. On top of all this the room was for my son and I to relax because we just found out he had cancer. I was still waiting for my son to show up.

Military members beware. This motel has no affiliation with the base and is NOT clean! They are known for removing all the dirty furniture from the room, placing it ON THE STREET to air out and then putting it all back inside the room. Im posting pictures of the current state of the motel on this site as well as trip advisory so everyone interested in staying at this motel is fully informed on what they’re paying for. (What you’ll see in the photos is not a one time occurrence, I drive by this motel regularly.)

The amenities are fabulous. The ice cold bath water was super refreshing, taking hot showers is like so last year! I felt so safe and secure going to bed at night knowing all of South Tampa PD is always watching.

This place either needs to be renovated or condemned. It is far from worth what they charge per night, per week, etc The staff/owners are very rude. And give orders to paying guest as if this place was their personal home. I wouldn't have given this place any stars. However it made me give at least one. I don't recommend staying here at all.

Absolutely terrible. I suggest the base run into this building with one of their tanks and completely destroy this place and build something worthy of the land it’s sitting on

you get what you pay for. The place is clean. But, it's right on a major street.. the noise coming from the cars driving down the street didn't let me sleep... it;s a cheap hotel and I didn't feel very safe there to tell you the truth... the guy at the desk was pretty friendly, though

Looked like they renovated rooms. Room was very nice and clean. Nice TV and lots of channels. Internet was working fine. Exterior of the hotel is still under renovation. Will stay here again.

Filthy broken no soap no towels horrible plumbing and paint some places and mirrors on floor someone should buy this Realestate and renovation and charge more, it's expensive already for what you get is shouldnt be over $25 a night probably should of been named bates motel instead
