Grove Motel

When I was in high school, this was considered a run-down motel. That reputation maintained for many years. Luckily when I would come to visit, I could stay with my Mom or the brand-new hotel. When my mother died in 2013 and with most of the family living in New York and the brand name hotel no longer being well maintained, there was not enough family members locally for everyone to have a place to stay. One of my classmates recommended Grove Motel. She insisted it was totally different now. She said it had new management that kept it extremely clean.||I took a chance; I was so impressed with the cleanliness (they deep clean on a regular basis) that every year when I come to town I stay there. They also constantly upgrade the property. Although the building is very old, you will find the rooms with recently new beds, flat screen televisions, toilets and bath tubs.||They may not have a swimming pool, gym or free breakfast, however, if you want to stay some place that is extremely clean with a very friendly staff you will definitely be satisfied.

Booked a 3 day stay for ultralight training due to proximity to airport strip. Owners are super friendly and responsive to ensuring a comfortable stay. As others have suggested rooms are a bit dated and with a tight bathroom I liked the vinyl flooring in main area as opposed to carpet Very quiet stay which I appreciated with close proximity to cuthbert downtown Would not hesitate to book again if in the area

I recently stayed 3 nights at the Grove Motel and was pleased with my stay. The motel is old and the rooms, especially bathrooms, are small; however, it is well-maintained with new floors and fresh paint. The room was very clean. The staff are very nice, helpful, and responsive. The motel is easy to find and is just down the road from the Cuthbert town square. I would definitely stay at the Grove Motel again on a future trip to Cuthbert.

Great Mom and Pop rooms are very clean and comfortable. The owners are very friendly and are very accommodating. Will stay again great motel 🤓 plus pet friendly.

We stayed for the weekend while my husband hunted. Very clean with friendly owners. Will definitely stay here when we come to the area!

The rooms were okay for a small town. Also as well as the clean. I came originally because my mom is in a hospital close to this area. I work and I take care of my mom being her care giver. We then had an issue come up.And I tried to resolve the issue respectfully peacefully and professionally with the staff that was at the hotel.The lady was very rude.The man would say one thing and when he was around the lady he would say another. After understanding the issue, the staff then told us that we had to get out not professionally, but the words exactly that came out of her mouth is ya'll got to get out. You got to go. the next morning. We begin to pack our things and another customer ask was we coming back. I told them no. That I was checking into another motel and explain my situation to them. And they were able to give me a discount as well. And understood my situation now upon talking with this customer. The lady runs out and runs up in my face. And tells me to shut my mouth and shut up. Because I can't talk to a customer. Which in America is the freedom of speech! After that the man runs up as if he was going to hit me and tells me to shut up. And I cannot talk. I can only get my things. I can talk as much as I would want to because this is a world of free speech. Then the police were called because I would not shut up.And I will voice my opinion and told them to tell me not to shut up. They begin to argue with us andcounter police. No one ever talked to me as I know the law. I am required to get my things. The situation that was at hand is a civil matter and yet they call the police as if we were harming them when they ran up in my face aggressively and was yelling at me. Of course, I did yell back.Because that's nature.She began to tell the police that always trashed the room.I even have video of the room as I left and everything.The room was never trashed.

I give this a 5 star rating for what it is. An older motel in the middle of nowhere. The first thing i noticed was that The floors where new and very clean. The tubs were freshly chalked so no old mildew. The bedding and towels were clean and it appears to be freshly painted. I found the beds to be comfortable and slept pretty well. It’s a very quiet location. Don’t expect to book online. You just need to call and tell them what time you will be there and they will hold the room. Pricing is good too. I will stay here again when I visit my college student.
