Budget Inn

Refused to give me a room without a cash deposit even though my trip was paid in full. Other reviews state that they did NOT get their cash deposit back. It seems like this is an under the table tip for the owner. They are not a part of the Better Business Bureau to be reported because I did try. I was not SCARED to pay a cash deposit. That needs to be stated up front for people who don't carry cash.

I gave business last yr bc I don’t know the area. Did it for an Rv show as a sales rep and single mom. They dismissed this years business with no discretion never even complained about their stinky unwashed rooms. Good luck for ANYONE staying here. Also they messaged someone connected to this account this rude message.

This hotel is a great place to stay, I've stayed for more than a week. And I love the place, it's very clean. I haven't found a single bug other than maybe a fly, which is not the managements fault. The staff here are so sweet, they do a great job at cleaning the rooms. The beds are always well made, everything's organized. No they do not go through your stuff when you are gone, they may move it out of the way to clean but they don't take anything or do anything wrong. Appreciate that the TV looks like a real TV and isn't colored purple or anything. Nothing here is broken, it all looks really clean and nice. There is space outside to walk around, you don't get bothered by people, it's a really homey place, they don't serve breakfast but I don't mind that, I know other people would. They have a coke machine which I love. I would 100% recommend the place, and id love to stay again.

I stayed only one night but the room was clean and comfortable. The property was well maintained. Very close to anything you need.

We stay here every time we come to Ellijay. The rooms are nice and clean and the service is great. Never had a problem. I would highly recommend this place.

They threatened to call the cops on me when we asked them to cancel my parents' reservation. The rooms were not clean or safe, and they refused to make it right. My parents checked in, and we walked to the room, inspected it, and came back with the key to decline the room. We were told to call the booking agent, which we did as we were leaving. The Budget Inn staff had told them we used the room, so they were charging full price. Which was an outright lie. So we had to turn around and confront them about it. The lady who had been at the window refused to come back to the window. Eventually, a man came to the window and said he had just got there, so he didn't know what had happened and couldn't help us. So I asked if he was or wasn't representing the Budget Inn because if he was, he could absolutely help us. He told me he was helping customers and I needed to move. I informed him I was a customer and he wasn't done with me. I then let the other people near me know about their policy of seeing the room before paying or losing the payment if they didn't like the room. He was not happy and told me he would have me arrested if I said another word and then said he was calling the cops. It is very close to Downtown Ellijay, the Cajun Depot restaurant, and where you used to apply for welfare. Drive farther or pay more. You will not regret it.

These people are thieves. They stole $20 from my son and when we call to have it returned they hang up. He paid in cash (not smart) but just know they will steal and then avoid you to return the “$20 deposit”. Rooms were nasty toilet wouldn’t hardly flush and room smelled awful!!! We will be filing a police report for the stolen $20

STAY FAR AWAY. Booked through Expedia and arrived at 10:30 PM. The slovenly Motel operator checked me and my dog in and had us sign everything (I presume for false proof that we received the room) before he tried to extort a $50 per day per pet fee from me. After refusing to be, he wouldn't give back the signed receipt until I threatened to call police and he went back into his office and just never came back out. I was in utter disbelief. I booked at the Best Western. Expedia also will not refund me as they adhere to their vendors policies. Expedia is trash. Currently going through credit card for a refund from Expedia.
