What a great find! Our cabin was cozy, clean and comfortable. It was also well-stocked with cooking utensils, tableware and anything else we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. We felt very much at home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay (planning a return trip next year). There is a dedicated pet area at the west end of the property, just a short walk from the cabins. The view across the small bay to Lake Superior was beautiful. There is a gorgeous beach on Lake Superior a short walk east of the cabins (off Cemetery Road). Grand Marais, a cute little town, is less than two miles away. Pictured Rocks and Tahquamenon Falls are about 45 minutes away. ||The one thing I would caution, for people who are not familiar with this part of the U.P., is that it is very rural and there is no cell phone service at the cabins. You need to drive into town or a couple of miles south to get a signal. Internet service is also "iffy" - best to ask Wendy about availability in your cabin. (There is a lovely little coffee shop in town that has internet.) This is in no way a criticism of Sunset Cabins (not a whole lot they can do about it) but something to be aware of.

We stayed here and snowmobiled. It was a great location to town and trails. The cabins were EXCEPTIONALLY clean. Wendy's attention to detail gives you that extra touch to your stay!!

Sunset Cabins is a great place to relax and get off the grid of life, very peaceful area. Our cabin was super clean and well stocked for the basics, you really don’t need much more. Lots of local bar/restaurants with great food. The Lake Superior shoreline view is incredible.

Sunset Cabins was the most amazing place to stay. Andy and Wendy were fantastic and very attentive. We definitely can't wait to go back! | The perfect cabin for the 3 of us and our puppy, use of kayaks and paddleboats on the pond.. (which is right next to Lake Superior) and fantastic service. The grounds were very well maintained. Grand Marais is a great little town to explore. |Thanks so much!!

Hosts were terrific! Great location for snowmobiling! Far enough out of town, quiet, close to trailheads

We recently stayed at the sunset cabins for a family gathering so we had experiences in the lodge, the innkeepers cottage, and one of the cabins. All three buildings were super clean and thoughtfully decorated. The innkeepers cottage where we stayed looked to be brand new! The deck around the outside was perfect for watching freighters pass and sunsets over Lake Superior. The playground for the children was right outside so the kids could go play in eyesight while I cooked dinner. These cabins are just outside of town, so you have a quiet atmosphere with the amenities of town close by. The only issue we had was that the dumpster outside does not have a lock on it, so we had a few furry visitors during our stay. Luckily some of our group had brought gloves in their first-aid kits, so we were able to pick up the remnants that were left strewn about the yard.

What a great place to stay. It was super clean, the owners were very knowledgeable and friendly, and plenty of things to do and see. The view from our deck was breathtaking! The cabins were different sizes to accommodate groups or families. We had such a good time we made reservations for the fall to come back again.

Mother Nature provided 90 degree weather and warmed up Lake Superior a bit. But, the InnKeepers Cottage and our host, Craig, provided a wonderful place to stay. The accommodations were perfect! Very clean, everything we could possibly need was provided. We didn't take advantage of the kayaks this trip but hope to in the future as we plan to go back. Oh, did I mention the view? Awesome - with a spectacular sunset every night!
