NillI called at 3:40 to let the staff know we were running late. The woman who answered (I’m sorry I forgot to ask your name!) removed all of the day’s stress by being so sweet and pleasant and making it no big deal that we were behind schedule! We pulled up around 6:30pm, to find our room ready and waiting for us! The rooms are as stairs as cleanliness being a major point of pride, but let me tell you it FELT clean! The next day I ran into one of the housekeeping staff (I believe her name was Janice and am sorry if I got it wrong) who was equally sweet! She took the time to give me a brief tour of the property as well as show me the bulletin board with all of the local events as well as her personal recommendations! She was very personable and accommodating, first asking if our room needed anything! During the tour, I found the property to be comfortable and feeling kind of “lived in”, but simultaneously modern, clean and well-kept! It’s impressive to balance a feeling of homey comfort while keeping things clean, orderly and well-maintained! We received clean towels every morning, enjoyed being able to log in to our favorite streaming channels and the water pressure in the bathroom was perfect (no weak streams or cold temperatures)! Checking out was just as easy checking in! I’m sorry I didn’t catch this woman’s name again but she was so sweet in chatting for a minute, thanking me for staying even through we hadn’t had a chance to chat before this, and nearly insisting I take a coffee for the road! I stayed with my wife and our one-year old, and we found the room big enough for all three of us, comfortable and well-lit and (again) clean FEELING! The 5-star rating was entirely earned, and it was done well! I definitely recommend staying here and will definitely be keeping the resort in mind next time I’m in Door County!

NillHosts made sure we had everything we needed, communication was on point, and made us feel special. Room was so clean and nice for us two. They have a nice separate room with a ping pong table and board games. Location was perfect because we were in between 2 pretty busy towns that had shops and great food. Definitely take advantage of the free bike rentals and bike through the Peninsula State Park!

NillHad a great first visit in Door County! Stayed in room 7 which was spacious and comfortable for 2 people. The room looked great and renovated. The addition of free bikes was such a highlight of our trip. The reception helped us plan our bike route for best views. Would recommend this inn!

NillPlace was clean as a whistle would stay there anytime it’s very nice having it all to ourselves. Right time of year to book it places we eat at in Fish Creek. we are fantastic. We went Friday night for a fish fry at a local bar 11 miles out of Fish Creek. It was fantastic but I cannot tell you the name of it. We just stopped took a chance and it was the local bar where everybody went to, and had fish fries, and it was fantastic . The locales told us this was the bar to come to. again, the birthday present surprise was a hit, so thank you again for your great place to stay

★★I have to be honest that I really wanted to love this little place. It is a good price for Door County. With that being said here are the things that are advertised but not offered:||-rooms are NOT cleaned during your stay. You leave your towels out in a bucket in the AM and they bring the same towels back washed in a thin flimsy bag outside your door. ||-no coffee pot in your rooms. If you want coffee before 8 AM you are out of luck. We finally asked the lady at the front office if we could get a coffee pot in our room. She brought a Keurig to our room. She said we had to BUY our own coffee pods. What? Seriously? They don’t give you cream or sugar so you have to buy that yourselves too. ||-office is only open from 8-10 AM then 3-5 PM||-office is not as posted online. It is a sliding window that the front desk lady sits in. You cannot go inside. ||-the “Kringle” they give you is a small slice of store bought Kringle. Do not think this will be enough for a breakfast. ||-The “heated pool” is NOT heated. It has one pipe pouring ice cold water into the old 1960’s concrete pool. ||-the location is good being in between Ephraim and Fish Creek, BUT it has to be the loudest intersection in Door County. It is at the intersection of Highway 42 and County Rd A. At night we made a fire, of course you have to BUY your own wood. The traffic is non stop. People speeding by, stopping on County Rd A then speeding onto the highway. Very loud. We only heard a couple planes so that was not a big deal. The airport is close by. ||-the parking area is a hot mess. It is so small like a bike path. People come in and don’t know where to drive. ||-When we arrived to our room they had the dehumidifier on and the air on. Our room smelled like pure sanitizer. We thought, why is it so strong in here. Well after the smell wore off it smelled like stale air. They had a piece of tape in between the beds because they were coming up. They are vinyl plank looking wood floors. These rooms are NOT updated! The bathroom although very lean has the smallest shower I have ever been in. They give you ONE roll of toilet paper. We asked for more during the office hours and we got 2 more rolls. We had 3 people in our room for 5 days. ||-if you want to use the bikes, you will have to let them know ahead of time, to unlock them. The office lady is only there such limited time so good luck. After 4 nights here no one had used the bikes. ||-we saw a few guests coming in after 5 PM and no one is around to help them check in or get into their room. We were by the fire pit using our own wood and people would wander around like “where do we go?”. It is very odd.||-the WI-FI was OUT for 2 and a half days! I called the office and she said “ok we have a guy on the peninsula that fixes all the Wi-Fi in the area. I will let him know. I asked if she could reset the router. Nope, she couldn’t tough anything he had rigged up. So there we sat, no wi-fi, no signal. ||-there is a smart TV, BUT since we didn’t have wi-fi part of the time you could not watch TV. You will have no signal here. One of us has Verizon and one has At & T. There is no cable. ||-you will have one garbage can in the room and one small one in the bathroom. They don’t give your additional garbage bags and you have to empty out your own garbage yourself. ||-I would have loved to see the owners but the only person we ever saw was the lady at the front desk.||I would not stay here again. I read all the reviews before booking this hotel and people said it was a cute little motel. Yes it looks cute from the outside, but after paying for all the extra items, no service, I would look elsewhere.

★★★★★Positive: We used the free bikes to go into the park that is right across HWY42. It worked out really well and not to bring our own was nice. Negative: The air conditioning is a little noisy but not a big deal.

NillWe stayed in the Anniversary Suite, which is the first level of a cute house on the property. It was very cozy, and we enjoyed the fireplace. The location is conveniently between Ephraim and Fish Creek. The owners are also very kind. We'll definitely stay here the next time we vacation to Door County.

★★★★★The Peninsula Park gave a great local experience. The room are comfortable, clean and cheery. Biking was not on our activity list but when we saw the numerous bikes and the park entrance steps away, we had to use the free amenity. We are so glad we did take advantage (hadn’t biked in a good 10 years). We were there during off season so didn’t use the pool but it was located in a great spot. Numerous chairs, swings, benches outside make for opportunities to sit outside. Discounts to the fish boil and nearby cafes give you starting points for your explorations. All around a great place to stay.
