Froelich's Sayner Lodge on Plum Lake in Vilas County

Got a tour of the Froelichs Main Lodge in Sayner. So sad to see how this building was allowed to deteriorate. It’s easy to picture how grand this building was when it was in its prime.

Nostalgic resort! Stumbled across by accident! Bill and Carol were so welcoming! Rooms in the main lodge are super competitive! This is a must stay resort right off a beautiful lake.

I wouldn't stay here, but it's frozen in time from the 1970s. Tons of history here, from Liz Taylor and Merv Griffin staying here. Too bad it's run down but love my thoughts when I'm there of what it must have been when it was booming!

Clean rooms, good lake spot. Would've loved to see the place back in the hay day.
