Famstel Gokarna - Beach Stay

Stayed at Famstel, Gokarna, and honestly, the experience was a mix of good and bad. The location is great, very close to the beach, and we had booked an AC room, which was quite comfortable. However, apart from the location and the room, there's not much to highlight. The food was extremely overpriced, and unfortunately, the quality and taste didn’t match the cost. We ordered fish, but it was clearly not fresh—tasted really bad. For a place so close to the sea, you'd expect fresh seafood at reasonable prices, but here, the rates were more like what you'd pay in a 5-star hotel in Bangalore, without the quality. Also, the room lacked basic amenities like a geyser, kettle, mirror, or even a television. There’s no room service either, which was quite disappointing given the price point. Overall, good for the beachside location and a basic stay, but wouldn’t recommend it if you're looking for good food or decent in-room facilities.

Our stay at Famstel Gokarna - Beach stay was absolutely dreamy. The beachfront location is unbeatable, and we loved waking up to the sound of waves every morning. The resort staff were so friendly and helpful, and the on-site dining options were top-notch. Perfect for a relaxing getaway!

I had a terrible experience at Femstel Gokarna. The food was ridiculously overpriced for its quality, and the rooms were far from satisfactory – uncomfortable and poorly maintained. The staff were helpful but the services were slow that made the stay even more unpleasant. To top it off, they charge a commission on services like scooty rentals and cruise bookings, which is completely unacceptable. It's evident that they prioritize profit over guest experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Gokarna. Definitely not worth the money. The good thing is view..so for that explore other options.

It is a very clean and beautiful place directly facing the beach. The washrooms are clean, all rooms are well made. Surroundings are clean. All staff is very helpful. Prices are reasonable. Food is delicious. Sea and beach in front is clean and good to swim. Village nearby is wonderful local experience. Would recommend it hundred percent.

Roomes dont have space to keep luggage bags. Rooms are too small compared as shown in picture. Cafe was not maitnied. Food quality was very bad not worth they charge. Genretor also not working properly. It will take 30 to 40 min to start. No lights on board and other area of resort. Need to renovate.

A very peaceful stay, amazing sea view from the property, delicious food, neatly maintained rooms at an affordable price. There is ample parking space as well for cars. Beach in front of the property is less crowded and we loved the sunset.

Recently stayed at Famstel Gokarna and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the rooms were clean and the hotel's location is fantastic—right opposite the beach, which made for some lovely views and easy access to the shore. However, the service left much to be desired. The staff were not particularly friendly or accommodating, which unfortunately impacted the overall experience. While the cleanliness and location are definite perks, the lack of quality service might be a dealbreaker for some.

The hotel's location is simply unbeatable. Steps from the beach, I woke up to the sound of crashing waves and breathtaking sunrises. The panoramic views of the Arabian Sea were a constant source of tranquility and awe. The proximity to the beach meant easy access for swims, walks, and simply soaking up the sun. Sid is an amazing host, helpful and friendly!
