Maple Holiday Home

It was a last minute planned trip and we found this homestay on MMT. We booked a room for three of us immediately. It was quite nice. It good enough for 3 people. There is ample space for luggages. Toilet was neat and clean with 24hrs hot water(through geyser). There is a big drawing room with sofas where you can sit with and spend time with your family or friends. Drinking water is provided through a watercan whichis shared with other travelers. Property has few rooms at rooftop with an open area. You can sit there for your romantic or masti-maja talks. It is also good for stargazing as this property is bit isolated and there is no light noise around. There are two sections in the property. One is for travelers and other has kitchen with dining area and staff quarters. Staff is very humble and helpful. They provide breakfast, lunch and dinner there itself but it is chargeable. Both veg and non-veg items are available but limited to what they can cook else kitchen is yours 😀 Property has some of the best views of coonoor including the sunsets. Not sure about sunrise as we woke up very late next day😛 One thing to note is that if you want some alcohol then better to bring you own brand as you will get whatever is available at the nearest Tasmac store which could be a horrible experience. We ordered beer which didn't feel like a beer. Overall it was a good experience at Maple and we enjoyed our stay there. Note: do spend some time with bonfire with stars above. It's wonderful!

It is a house with 2 portions, with one to let out and another for caretaker. Please call caretaker in advance for food if you want to eat here. Very nice, and ventilated rooms with large windows and balconies. View from balconies is really nice. Very neat, clean and spacious. Visited this place with a group of 6 friends on the way to Kochi from Ooty during our cycling trip in January 2019. Though the road to homestay(from govt bus stand) may confuse you about its goodness, but don't worry, its a good place at awesome location.

nice cosy place for a family to stay.. little interior so make sure to use gps to reach .. the caretaker chandran is a very cooperative person to deal with.... food only on demand.. and prepares tasty food...ample parking space..surrounded by greenery so first floor stay is recommended. Since its a home stay.. carry all essentials like toileteries.. neat and clean, very well maintained property...

I first time saw photos over TripAdvisor and goibibo. As we did not had more options I finally decided to book this place for family. We reached Coonoor almost after 7 PM IST, already due to December it was dark. But Ramesh who is2caretaker continuous within touch with us to guide towards property. I wa4bit sacred due to road was narrow and was going through area where both side has houses. However5when we reached propery house keeper offers to see rooms2and after choose room they immediatly arrange blankets. Room had ample place and bathrooms were had good space with good quality material. Overall good place for family. Morning we saw awesome view from outside. This property has nice outdoor garden for children.

The homely atmosphere created by the family taking care of the property is very refreshing. They will give you home cooked food customised according to your taste and preference. I was traveling with my1y10m old toddler, and they kindly customised some items for baby as well. The holiday home is very scenic. Staff extremely well behaved. It was like staying at home away from home. Strongly recommended. Also it's very clean, cozy and well designed. Cots are big even 3 adults can accommodate properly.

Off city (connoor, Nilgiris) stay, Nice landscape view. Calm and enjoy the forest around. Rooms are very neat spacious with enough furniture. Night times you can see Bears, Bison, some times elephants too. Other wild birds and very small birds are living in and around. Nice staffs, they are cooking for us, like home food with reasonable price.

I loved this place. It's a home away from home. Didn't feel like leaving both due to the lovely weather and due to the warm caretakers of the place. They fed us really well. Good job, Chandru Anna and Selva Rani (Caretaker and his wife)!

Good place if you wish to stay away from the crowds. The rooms are spacious and the view from the first floor balconies and sit-out is pleasant and peaceful. There are no restaurants near by so we asked Akka there to help us with breakfast and dinner. Home cooked meals which I guess they prepare for themselves and also cook for us if we request. She makes delicious chapathis and curry. We also liked idlis and dosas for breakfast and we had tea thrice each day almost making us a tea addict. We loved our stay at Maple Holiday Home on the way to Ooty at Coonoor and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and modest stay.
