Gautam Shala Cottage

The owners of Gautam Shala have leased out the property to another company called Bon Voyage. This place is located at the far end of Shnag Road in Old Manali. Its surrounded by beautifully maintained apple orchards. All the rooms have beautiful views of the mountains and snow capped peaks of Rohtang Pass is also visible. There are many waterfalls. And a nice place to go for a stroll. The management is very nice and cooperative.

Gautam shala cottage is the one of the best cottage in manali.The owner and his brother are very very good person.They will help whatever we want. I'm from Tamilnadu .I know only english. it's easy to speak with them. Excellent rooms ,neat bathrooms,lovely views and balcany . I njoy a lot with my family. we can say he is the one man army. The rooms photos are true. They itself arrange for all site seeing. No pollution,calm place, night times and all we can hear river noise its it's very nice to feel it.

After travelling around India for 5 weeks, this was the highlight of my trip. Waking up to views of the famous Rohtang Pass (Himalayas mountains) and hearing the sound of the Beas River with barely any tourists around was surreal. Meru was a great host and the cottage was exactly as described. It's a little further away from the main town, so if you're looking for peace and quiet with breathtaking views then this is the place for you! Thank you Meru, we had a great stay and wont forget the experience of meeting your family during the festival! Say hi to Shivam for us! :)

Really calm and cozy place. I visited in winter season and we were the only guests at that time. Host and his family was kind and attending. Place is away from the noisy streets has a really good view.

Rhis cottage is like a house for me.its owner and his family are very kind to me.i love this place .and its scenery that looks from this cottage,it looks like we are in heaven.ni crowd,ni traffic.this place is for meditation also.

Home away from home... Nice owner... best views... no traffic or crowd... in midst of nature... set backs are no attached bathrooms, narrow approach road... and no restaurants nearby..
