PWD Rest House , Ponmudi

The renovated PWD Rest House is located in a very beautiful and scenic location.The main issue was no network in this area. No wifi facility and no pwd canteen there.It offers very clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation with low cost.

Good place to stay. It is at kulachikara. 7km far from ponmudi site seeing. Only one restaurant available inside the compound

Newly constructed cafe and refurbished and renovated rooms. Oyo like service run by the government waiting for lovers to rendezvous. Risky place to stay overnight because there is no cell phone service anywhere in that area. Call ahead to order food in the cafe and book rooms via Web.

It is a cute but a small camp in Ponmudi by Kerala PWD. It is absolutely very cheap and a nice place with peace ambience. No attached bathrooms, No Kitchen, No Beds instead will get traditional sleeping mat.. But 150 rs per person is definitely a cheap one.

Its a great camp place, "Must go place" . Its at ponmudi hill's, hardly 4kms away from the hill top. Out of the total 22 hairpin road curves the camp is at 16th hairpin curve. The rooms are very well cleaned and maintained. Camping like atmosphere but we need to bring materials and food for camping, its not provided here. The staffs are well behaved.

1. You wont get any receipt for the amount you pay 2. Initially they will insist some rules and conditions like dnt make noice, buf later we noticed people doing bbq party @2am in the night 3. Paid 400 for a single person room and extra 150 for each. So for 5 total 1000 paid. 4. Caretaker will ask for lunch, breakfast but if you are ready for a 100m walk the same you will get cheap Overall not a good experience...
