Great modest room in central location minute from the cliff and main street. Rooms a have a pleasant vibe with a small seating area. The manager is available 24/7 for any of your needs and is a probably the best costumer service you'll receive in India at western standards.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Raj Palace (Royal Acropolis) for a week-long vacation. The location was truly breathtaking, situated right next to a cliff and just a few steps away from the beach. We spent our days leisurely strolling around the neighbourhood, enjoying fresh seafood and coffee from the local cafe. It was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday. Our host was extremely helpful, going above and beyond to help us find our way around Varkala. We were also fortunate to have a great parking spot, so we didn't have any issues during our stay. We highly recommend this place.

Magnific stay at Raj Palace! The rooms are big, very clean, with plenty of sun and views of the sea side. The owner and his family were very sweet and helped us out at every moment. The rooms even have a big terrace to chill out and an hammock to lay down while you watch the sunset in the evenings...||It is also very near the coast lane overseeing the cliffs of Varkala. Highly recommend it! 😃👍

I love this place. I just kept extended my stay because I felt so at home. The rooms are simple but spacious. The room is spacious, it has a wardrobe and SOFT double (or two single) beds, good size bathroom with hot water, fan or A/C and a balcony or porch. Its CLEAN and quiet and over looks palm trees to the front and the ocean to the side. Its nearly on the cliff edge, but its set just a few 100 meters back, which is perfect because you have some privacy. Its in walking distnace to everything you need. The family is lovely. The husband and wife do it all together. The are kind and helpful but they also are very respectful of your space and time. I would recommend this place to anyone and I will absolutely return.

I spent at Raj Palace 27 days in August 2018 and it was beyond me expectations! Moving out from a near by ashram where I was doing my yoga teacher's training I felt like in a 5* hotel. No exaggeration.||The family is very friendly and was helpful through all the time. ||I should mention I was there when the monzoon season was exceeding its maximum and as a result there was a lot of water in all Kerala which was effecting not only the electricity suppply.||Rooms were clean and nice. I asked for a mosquito net which at the end was not really necessary. When I needed a new towel or sheets, it was always exchanged. Bathroom was clean with running cold and hot water. Ocassionally I used a laundry service, which was fair to its price (20 rupees per peace, which is cheapest at the cliff). I was spending my time in the first floor which has a shared balcony (great for making friends, but everyone respects his space) with a hammock.||Raj Palace is situated a 30 sec walk from the cliff. You can hear the sound of the ocean all the time. Plus there is a beautiful view in the garden with coconut palms.||The little street is very secure even in the night. Families are locking the main entrance gate in the night so that no one from outside could enter. It is quiet place but remember, there is a lot of life in the night, especially cicadas which are noisy so I recommend ear protectors (use in all India), bring them from your contry if available because there is no chance to get them in Varkala ;)

Great location near the beach and cliff restaurants, room is nice and clean with lots of plants in front of the house as well as a proper porch. The service is very good, when I needed something like a plate or a knife it was immediately provided, and the host brought me papayas fresh from the tree and showed me many amazing places for food in and around town. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends if they go to Varkala. Thanks for all the wonderful memories!

Really very nice place and comfortable room. At the same time cliff also walkable distance from room. Owner also very kind and genuine person, he is take care of guests with full responsibility. He arranged bike rental and other some facilities also.He guide us for sports activities and travel to nearest tourism places all the things. And we forgot our id on there ..later we contact him..he sent that through courier...Thank you so much for this sir...and he help to reach railway station on time through his own.. at the last minute most of the cab in busy.. he took care of us... really thank you for your valuable services... Special thanks for vinith bro...

Clean room and super close to the beach barely 50 meters. The building manager Jen ( founder of Royal Acropolis) is extremely polite and helpful for any kind of situation. I had really great time here in Raj palace thanks to him.
