NillElgin! A british era colonial villa with 7 rooms, lush green gardens, ample parking space, fire place, open sitting areas, a fully equipped restaurant with excellent crockery and cutlery. Staff is well behaved and always has a smile on face with a greeting every time they see you. You enter the lobby area with fragrance of Sagwan wood, wooden staircase. What i like the most is the fact that despite being a 100 year old villa thr is no feeling that u r being deprived of Morden amenities and the charm of an old building is bery well maintained. A house keeping staff was cleaning a transparent glass candle lamp besides the fire place and it took him 30 minutes to do so after he left i went close to see what took him so long, but thr i witnessed a flawless absolutely clean lamp. To maintain a property like this attention to minutest of detail is required and i must say the staff is briefed very well. Decent breakfast spread excellent tea and coffee. Food is also very good and decently prized. Unlike other hotels the staff is not pushing u to have ur dinner as they want to close the kitchen, infact my server asked me not to worry about the time and enjoy as much as i could. This is unreal. Rooms are neat with clean washrooms and have a wide variety of tea, green tea and coffee sachets and a boiling kettle which was decent. I was expecting a capsule coffee machine but thats ok. All in all a good comfortable stay if i were to give a suggestion i would have appreciated a security guard probably armed at the gate.

NillElgin Hall is a charming blend of colonial elegance and modern comfort. Nestled amidst the serene landscapes of Dalhousie, this heritage hotel offers a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The property is beautifully maintained, preserving its historic charm while providing all the amenities one would expect from a modern hotel. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and exude an old-world charm that adds to the overall experience. The staff is exceptionally courteous and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels special. The food served at the hotel is delicious, with a variety of local and international cuisines to choose from. One of the standout features of Elgin Hall is its location. The panoramic views of the surrounding mountains are breathtaking, and the peaceful ambiance makes it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Whether you're looking to explore the scenic beauty of Dalhousie or simply enjoy a quiet getaway, Elgin Hall is an excellent choice. However, being a heritage property, some aspects may feel a bit dated, but this only adds to the charm for those who appreciate the historical significance of the place. Overall, Elgin Hall offers a delightful blend of history, comfort, and hospitality, making it a must-visit for anyone traveling to Dalhousie.

★★★★We stayed in this property for 3 nights stay with family from 11 Nov 2023 onwards. This colonial era property is situated in the mid of Dalhousie. The hospitality and food is amazing, chef prepares excellent food but property needs more make over as interior and hygiene levels are not Upto the mark, Rs 20k per night charges are too high as per five star standard, the housekeeping has to be improved . Overall we had good experience but found value for money missing.

NillThe homestay is really good but the best part is the location and the style of rooms . The rooms have an interesting english look dating from the Victorian era and are spacious and luxurious with neat and clean washrooms and many amenities . Even the food here was amazing . The price is a little high but it’s totally worth it . Loved our stay here perfect for a nice vacation .
