I had a good time living in Naddi village at Shiva Guest House. The owner is friendly and positive. In April, we thought we were going to freeze to death from the bloody cold nights, but Suraj (that’s his name) provided us with a heater and an additional blanket, and we managed to survive. We’re also remote workers, and he gave us a good wooden table to work on. We lived on the ground floor in a room with a kitchen. The great thing about it is that the room has a beautiful view of the mountains and access to the garden, where I did my stretching and tried to meditate. When good weather arrives, unfortunately, this village stops being a beautiful, quiet place. It has only one road, about one kilometer in length, which runs through the village and ends in a dead end. I can't understand the mentality of the Indians coming here, and I still can't figure out WHY they drive their cars so crazily. No doubt they have navigation and can see it takes only a minute to reach the end, but they drive on this narrow road at the fastest speed, constantly honking, almost knocking down people and animals. So, whenever we went out, we always felt stressed by this. It ruins all the beauty of the village.

It was a pleasant stay here. Great views, good wifi, clean rooms, and a library too. Naddi sunset viewpoint & flag point are only at a walkable distance. And many other places are also near. Owner helped us with many things, grateful to Suraj!

My partner and I are staying at Shiva Stays for the second time already. We were here last year and we’re staying this years as well. What we like about the place is that our room is clean and cozy and there’s a lot of light coming in. There is an electric kettle in the room, which makes our stay extra comfortable as we are tea-drinkers. There are also plates, cups and other necessary utensils in the kitchen, sometimes I cook fried rice or potatoes there. But what makes our stay the best and why we’ve come again is actually our host Suraj. He helped us with bus tickets as we couldn’t buy ones without an Indian card, he also made sure that the internet is fast and stable. He always shares the necessary information, for example he recommended me a good hospital where the doctor prescribed me suitable medication for my sore throat. Last year Suraj showed me a short way to the Flag Temple. He is the best of the best! The view from our room is also amazing!

Amazing place, Amazing host and Amazing property - 5/5. Here is the split: Rooms- The rooms are clean, spacious and have ample daylight. The beds are comfortable, and there is enough furniture to put cloths of 02 people, groceries etc if staying for a longer stay. It has a TV with HDMI port, so one can easily use DishTV or Fire Stick with it. Attractions- 1. Naddi view point where we can see the entire valley and mountains range. 2. Bal river is another close by tourist spot, where one can enjoy alone or with family and friends. 3. Dal Lake Safety- It is an extremely safe place, even for a single woman/girl to stay. Othe details- Majority of the shops, small restaurants, Dharamkot, etc are at walkable distance of within a 5Km radius or 1hr distance. The view from the property towards the valley, and the service provided by the host are extremely welcoming.

Best place for longer stays. It’s got a clear view of the Himalayan range and the sky looks absolutely beautiful from the terrace. It’s easily accessible also as the property is right next to the road.

Magnificent view of dhauadhar hills from the terrace and if your destiny gives you clear weather then you can stargaze at night from the stay too.

I had an incredible stay at this place! The owner was exceptionally friendly, and the cozy home-style vibe made me feel right at home. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the ample parking space was a huge convenience. Having a fully-equipped kitchen for cooking was a big plus for a long-term stay. And the breathtaking view of the Dhauladhar range with snow-capped peaks was simply mesmerizing. There's also a fantastic social space to hang out. Highly recommended!
