Wanderer's Nest

I had an amazing stay at Wanderer's Nest..I was there for 3 nights and loved it. It is located near Spiti river and has the most surreal sunrise and sunset that you can view from your window or from the front porch. Tanya, the host, is superb and very helpful. She made sure my stay was comfortable and also recommended food to eat that included cooking local bread for breakfast so that I can try it out. The rooms were clean and it has all the amenities that you need for your stay in Mountains. Tanya even conducts meditation and yoga sessions in the mornings. I will definitely recommend a stay with her and look forward to going back here..

We stayed/rather pitched a tent in the backyard of this property in July 2017. When people review about lack of amenities like hotel they must understand that reason behind it. We had a wonderful stay at this place and Tanya was an amazing host. We cooked food for all the people stayed there and had dinner together. Longing to get back in Kaza!!!

Only for sleeping is good, with cleanliness. But very bad in terms for washroom, as it has only one common washroom inside house, if others want to use go outside in such cold weather. Also, both toilets are Indian toilets which are not cleaned at all, with lack of facilities like wash basin never worked. Water problem. Even hot water you have to get it from outside that too very limited to only one bucket. And if you are very strict person, then its fine, else you can't talk in place after 10 pm, its like too much restrictions. If you can adjust in such place, take and enjoy Kaza, rest on to you.

Homely place with budget beds, close to the main market makes it a great bet to stay in Kaza. Also, friendly hosts coupled with Sattvic food and yoga to prepare one's body for the high altitude in and around Spiti.

This place is situated right next to the spiti river. It has one of the best sunrise and sunset in kaza. Would recommend you to stay there if you want to visit kaza.

The toilets are dirty... rarely cleaned...no flush...only india style toilets...it has damp smell all the time in every room

Charming and calm place with hot water, warm blankets (if necessary) and friendly staff. Near to main market and bus station.

Budget stay option with basic amenities.. WC was not available when I visited the place
