Amazing hosts. You feel warmth from entire family as you interact with them. They treat you like family and try their best to make your stay comfortable. Their own home is on ground floor and rooms for homestay are on 1st floor. Its a house built with local wisdom and expertise and hence is very well insulated. The bukhari (or famously called as Himalayan Rocket Stove) in dining/sitout place makes it extremely cozy even in -30* outside. Things of comfort like heated beds and heavy blankets & quilts are available in plenty. One absolutely feels at home here. As for Parking, its available in plenty here. Food is the best thing here. As the entire host family is warm to you as guests so you feel great sitting and eating with time, enjoying the delicious home food and their folklore legend stories. Spiti is our annual ritual and we feel lucky to have such amzing hosts. If you want to experience local spiti culture and hospitality, you should defintely stay here. As tourists or travellers, we need to understand that this is not hotel - we are guests and they are hosts, due respect to their home and belief system is necessary from our side. Also this is one of the most hostile environment known to man, so we should keep in mind that meeting a necessity is no less than luxury here and should be appreciated.
