I stayed with my family for 3 days in the homestay. Prices are quite reasonable and obviously value for money. Few other important parameters: Location: It is 4-5 km away from the mall road. So, at first this might not seem good. But the home-stay owner Mr. Ajay arranged a cab for us, prices of that were very reasonable. And location is quite peaceful and has great views from the room. You can never get such views and peace from hotels of mall road. Staff: We met genuine people there with helping attitude. Homestay owner Mr. Ajay greeted us and managed us with a very hospitable manner. Canteen's cook Mr. Dilip was kind enough to provide us food till the room (Even in the heavy rain). Cab (arranged by homestay) had a very good natured driver named Ajaybhai. He was also kind and jolly man. Cleanliness: Rooms were clean, bathrooms were clean. Bedsheets, blankets and pillows were also properly washed. So, nothing to be worry out when it comes to hygiene. Overall, I would say, one must stay here to have a beautiful trip to Shimla, if peace is their priority along with breathtaking views of Shimla.

We liked the rooms. We booked for two rooms for two days. Total it took 4K. Which is quite cheap. It’s a little bit far from the main Simla city that is the Mall Road. This is located in dudhley. But it has spectacular Mountain View from the room. Rooms are quite spacious. Each room contains 1 double bed and 1 single bed. The room service is good but room does not contain soap shampoo towel etc basic amenities. The bed sheets are not cleaned. Food is good. Not much variety available.

Host was hospitable. Parking space available for cars if you have own vehicle. The rooms were clean. The view from the room was awesome. You can enjoy the view of complete Shimla from your room or the sharing balcony. The bedsheets and quilts should be cleaner. Soaps to be provided in the bathroom. Not a very accessible place for elderly people or people having knee problem.

*We travelled India for 3 months (February-May) staying mostly in budget friendly accommodations in a private room with attached bathroom. We are a young Canadian couple. Other accommodations that we stayed at in India that we rated between 3-5 stars are: Hotel the Spot, Kedar guesthouse, Roundcube Bungalows, 03, Flavia, Premavati Guesthouse, Gir Wild Farms, Cosy Guesthouse, Tofu Hotel & Safari, Sunface Homestay, and Ram Yoga House. Prices for the private rooms we stayed in (depending on location and time of year) ranged from 400-2500 rupees a night, but typically we paid around 700-1000 rupees. Our reviews are based on the specific rooms we stayed in.*||||Verma's Homestay:||||We stayed at Verma’s Homestay for a few nights in April for 800 rupees a night. We were very happy with our stay and rate this accommodation 5/5. ||||PROS||-Our room was upgraded to the family room at no additional cost as we wanted to stay longer and this was the only available room. ||-There are 2 “blocks” of rooms (beside each other) and the first night we had a basic room in 1 block and the remaining nights we had the family room in the other block. Both times our room was spacious and clean.||-The family room we stayed in had good wifi (however it was turned off during the night time) and also had large windows offering lots of sunlight and amazing views of the mountains||-The staff were so friendly and helpful. We were greeted at our taxi upon arrival at 11pm at night and over our stay we were provided information for any questions we had (ie local bus, things to do, etc) ||-The restaurant owner/cook (Vijay Thakur) was so friendly and made delicious Dal Fry meals and food was fairly priced!! We shared lots of good conversation with Vijay and the young boy who speaks English and lives at the homestay. We really enjoyed the restaurant!! ||||CON||-wifi doesnt work in one of the blocks

Peaceful location, very polite staffs. Not to far from the city center, reasonable price for a family room which includes beautiful view of a valley and neighborhood. Clean environment. ||||However, they should work on basic thing that a home stay should have like toilet papers, ash tray in smoking rooms, dustbin and hot water boiler as we all know that Shimla is known for its cold weather, so something that can warm instantly like tea, coffee or a hot should be there in every room.||||||Overall, its a good place to stay in, if you are looking for a peaceful holiday and its also a pet friendly hotel.||||||There is a Dog by the name of Diesel in the neighborhood who is very friendly and welcoming! ||.

It was an amazing stay there. We were 7 people in group.||||This is hotel is 15 kms from Kufri which is fine and around 4 kms from Shimla Mall road.||||The hospitality at the hotel was too good. They helped us with carrying the bags till the room. Also arranged for the dinner even when their dining was closed.||||We had an amazing breakfast for 2 days.||||The rooms had 1 double bed and 1 single bed , which can accommodate 4 people in 1 room easily. ||||This review is from 7 of us. :)
