Very good location, a little bit off grid but for us we didnt feel a need to go to the center to find food to eat because they serve delicious food, though they take time preparing your food coz the really cook it fresh. You'll just have to order in advance.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Yalakhom and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was embraced by the friendly and warm environment that exuded positive vibes. The cozy rooms were a perfect retreat, offering comfort and tranquility. What truly set Yalakhom apart was the incredible food cooked by aunty ji ❤️ Every meal felt like it was prepared with love and care, making it a true home away from home. I can't recommend Yalakhom enough for anyone seeking a welcoming and homely stay. I look forward to my next visit!

Yalakhom is situated at a remote yet accessible village in Himachal Pradesh called - Kalgha. Kalgha comes in the way to Kheerganga Trek, so those who are planning to go for the trek may consider staying at Yalakhom, as it is a great place to rewind and relax. I stayed at Yalakhom in the first week of June, the weather was pleasant and the rains made my stay even more pleasurable. When you will be at Yalakhom there won't be any view you could take your eyes off. The people managing the homestay are also great. They take their time in cooking food, but they will serve you the freshest food possible with wide variety to choose from, that too at such a remote place. The wonderful folks at Yalakhom also offer accompanied guidance for treks, however I wasn't aware of this until my final day at Yalakhom, so I couldn't make use of the same. Pemba bhai, Agrimji, Resham bhai and Yangzee didi must be specifically mentioned. They will accomodate you as you are their friend, while respecting your privacy at the same time. I highly recommend Yalakhom notwithstanding your purpose of vacation, be it trekking or taking a peaceful break at the Himalayas.

we stayed at a different hotel because yalakhom was fully booked for our travel dates, but would come here for every meal! the food is freshly prepared, the staff is super friendly and ambience is very peaceful 🫶🏻 loved spending time here!!

We went on a hike to Kalga village 2 days back with no plans to stay, but ended up staying at this place for the night. From the outset, the place gives you a feeling that you have landed at the right place which goes beautifully with the setting of the mountains and is tranquil. The rooms were made of wood and stones; something of a unique experience to stay. Rooms were well clean and so were the washrooms. Coming to the food, the host himself is fond of cooking and they serve some really nice food. It might take some time to serve it though which is fine. Out and out, I would definitely suggest going to Kalga village and staying at this place. It's worth all the hike of 30 mins from the dam to land here!

Great place to stay be it solo or with a group. Top notch hospitality, there's also hot water and attached bathrooms in the rooms and Surrounded by an apple orchard on top of the mountain view on all 4 sides. The food is probably the best in kalga. 10/10 recommend.

We had a great stay at Yalakhom. The staff was very helpful and polite. Special mention to the cook for the amazing food. Will definitely visit again :-)

Amazing homestay. Food was great but takes a bit of time to serve. Lush green surroundings. Accessibility may be an issue since it needs a bit more hike after the Nepali Market to reach the stay. If you are planning to do the Kheerganga trek then it may be a good option to stay a night here.
