Namkha Homestay and Camps

We were group of 5, host nature was so calm and friendly. Local food taste so well and Hot water was provided by host. Along with rooms were very spacious and clean. At this remote location this was the best experience.

Food is not that good. You get the food till owner wants after that they will tell food is finished. They are not organised you have to wait for 30-40 min in dining area. You have to ask for everything like pickle, butter and all. Host have to really think and organize everything. Rooms are okay. Washrooms are very bad. Water taps are coming out. No proper water in washroom. I recommend MUD house homestay which is right next to it.

Please stay away from this place. We were a group of 3 and upon check in found out that the lights in the bathroom does not work and there was also no water. When we enquired about this to the owner/caretaker they asked us to adjust and demanded the full tarrif for the stay. We had no option but to forgo the advance we paid and looked for another place. To the property manager, please understand that demanding money without providing services will not take you far in this business.

The rooms are great and the homestay owner is a good person, she provided us with good home cooked food. However cars don't reach the homestay so you have to carry the luggage from the monastery parking lot to the homestay.

Stayed at Namkha home stay while our journey towards kaza. One of the most amazing couple standing to welcome you at the door, serving amazingly prepared home food , spacious room and clean washroom.

Namkha Homestay is not like any other place, me and my husband can never forget staying there, both owners of house were so welcoming that it felt like home. The place is very beautiful and made in its traditional way. Uncle and aunty were so sweet and lovely, that we enjoyed our 2 days stay alot with homecooked meals and all night long conversations. I wish to go their in future for a long stay because u can never have enough of that place.
