NillWe went to Nature Nirvana in the last week of May . The place is so peaceful, laid back and a great place to unwind. We had homely food, lovely weather, antique furnishing, books to read. Kids too had fun. The plantation walk in the morning was so refreshing. The lake boating, the mountain stream were fun. We took walks in the evening inside the property. The access road is a disadvantage - if you take your own car you will have to think twice about the mud road commute…….

NillWe went to stay in Nature Nirvana in the beginning of July 2024 and I would say the overall experience was awesome. Initally we did a lot of research about the homestays in and around Chikmagalur and found this one to be very promising and honestly it did not disappoint our expectations. We knew that we were going on a rainy season so we were not planned for any sightseeing and the objective was to have a cozy stay at the place and this place has very well solved our purpose. The climate was awesome with drizzling throughout the day. We were taken for the boating and fish feeding on the same evening the day we reached. Due to rainfall and leeches all around we did not go to the waterfall. There is a waterfall and a small pond for boating within the property. Next day we went for the coffee plantation walk and had to come back in 30 mins due to rain. When it comes to activities inside, they have a swimming pool with a kids area included in it. There is a badminton court, table tennis, carrom board, playing cards and cricket bat/ball. Since we were 8 ppl group it was very engaging to do these activities inside the property. Campfire was available but couldn't do it due to continuous raining. Rooms were okayish. Even though it looks neat in the first look, but we found lot of webcobs all around the room. Looks like They don't deep clean it after guests vacate. But it was okay for us as we spent most of our time outside the room. Food and service was awesome. There is no complaints in that aspect. The taste and quality was so good. 7am - 8am - Coffee/tea depends on our choice 8.30 am to 10 am - breakfast - Dosa/Idly, bread, omlette, papaya, poha, juice and coffee/tea 1.30pm to 3pm - Lunch - Chapathi, rice, 2 vegetables, 1 meat gravy (both days mutton), sambar, rasam, curd, raitha, veg pulao, salad, papad and banana. It was a quality meal. 5pm - 6pm - Tea/Coffee and Vada/Bajji 8.30 pm - 10 pm - Dinner - Chapathi, chicken curry, paneer curry, rice, rasam, curd, 1 vegetable, raitha and banana. We stayed for 2 days and both the days the food was very nice. Service was very good. Both the care taker and helper was very welcoming. They gave milk for kids, hot water for drinking whenever asked with a big smiling face. On top of everything, they have books to read. The place was such a nice and peaceful one where a book lover would not miss to spend sometime reading. Overall, it was a great experience. It worth the every penny. PS: It is in middle of the forest so mobile connectivity was zero. WiFi they provide was pathetic and did not work most of time. But since we were away from phones we spent a quality time with our people. They run on generator power the whole day. So they turn off the power at 11 pm and there will be no lights and fans till 6 am in the morning. There is a 7 km mud road we need to travel to reach this place and it was little challenging with rain. But they are providing vehicle facility of required. So this can be tackled.

NillPerfect getaway for a family and friends with something for very kind of person - be it those who want to chill or those who want activities, There are waterfalls, lake and a nice stretch of mountain for a trek. Within the resort, there's a fabulous swimming pool too. I've been here more than once and I had a wonderful stay with every detail taken care of by the hospitable staff. All meals and snacks were delicious too. This is my favourite place for a holiday tucked away in the midst of greenery and sounds of nature.

NillI have been there with my family and friend's families. The location is superb, which has a great view. The place is filled with green lush and surrounded with coffee estate. They have a private lake with a boating facility . Their service is superb and quick. Mr. Lakesh is very helpful. But you won't get many food options. Especially I have been there for 2 days and they served only chicken curry with the same taste for lunch and dinner. So it may not be so great in terms of food options. The rooms are ok, but we need at least a wardrobe . They won't arrange any dental kit. It's better to carry for yourself . The best part is it's not overcrowded, so you will easily relax and enjoy the surroundings.

NillOne of the best places for leisure. We spent two nights there. Excellent hospitality by the hosts and the care takers - Lokesh and Deepak. Food was malnad style, cooked with local ingredients. Rooms were clean and had ample space. A fresh water stream runs through the estate with which they have made a man made lake where we can boat and feed the fishes, a small waterfall, an extraordinary Gorge and pristine swimming pool. Last 7 kms to the resort is a mud road , but manageable. Would love to visit again.

★★★★★I had the time of my life with my girl friends in a fabulous setting, in the midst of lush greenery. This place has a lot to offer for the lazy as well as the active kinds! Waterfalls, lake, trekking, pool were delightful. There was a great spread on the table at each meal. Perfect holiday destination for families too; children woudl be busy here away from their gadgets!

★★★★NN is tucked away at the heart of the Bainekan, a coffee estate that’s over a hundred years old. Needless to say, it’s a piece of heaven with silver oaks, coffea robusta and arabica growing in full bloom. Some pepper plants are also present, though the silver oaks are most poetic of them all. I believe it was the first home stay on a coffee plantation in the area. ||Natural pools - we visited 3 natural pools with little to large waterfalls bursting through. They’re lovely for a quick swim, though a staff member from the estate is recommended to be present as a guide. ||Tour of the estate - for those who enjoy local history, botany, photography or a good nature trail this works well before a hearty breakfast from the hosts’ kitchen! ||Group size - We were scouting for a location for a health retreat to be hosted by our clinic. At present 12 to 15 adults can easily be accommodated. |4 more rooms, all facing the sunset are to be expected by the end of 2023, with their own infinity pool. We would love to visit with a larger group.||Creative’s Retreat - as a dance and arts enthusiast, I would recommend this location for any kind of music or arts’ retreat spot. It’s easier to ideate or be inspired in this kind of set up. ||Food - farm to table. Specific dietary requests can be made beforehand. ||Senior citizens and/or special needs families - can break journey at Hassan or at the Chikmangalur Golf Club. |NN is ideal for both groups on account of its serenity and something there for everyone. ||Community - neighbouring planters and their families do drop by from time to time to see the host and hostess. The community is knowledgeable and put in an extraordinary amount of work to maintain the pristine beauty of their spaces.
