Magnolia Mist Homestay

I came here from a friend's recommendation and was blown away by how wonderful the place is. Such beauty living among the forest and coffee plants, and such wonderful hosts! The accomodations are comfortable and clean, the food is amazing, and the ambiance is completely relaxing. A great get away and you learn so much in addition about bio-diversity, ecology, ect.

Please go there on you own risk ! The place is right at the end of Coorg, mids of a jungle, not at all kids friendly, the rooms are worn down (and there's a difference in being rustic), no fans incase you feel hot, no wifi or mobile network, the way to the stay is such that once you go there you just cannot come back !! |There are hidden ways of stating about the place and we got into the trap ! |Too risky to get your car down the jungle. Nearest shop is 5km away....and no activities to spend your time. |The rooms are absolutely open to the greens and any snake or wild animal cam easily access your rooms. The owner (Abhishek) is quiet good at interpretation of words but then it should be an honest confession !||We got into this trap and had to come out loosing all the time and energy going to this disastrous place. Please do not go by what the website says or how you are explained about the whole experience unless you are a big fan of the jungle book !!

It was a great surprise! We reached Magnolia Mist just by chance and as soon as we walked into the plantation, we realised that we were starting to live our dream. The positive vibrations of Magnolia Mist are such that you feel connected with the gorgeous nature around. The homestay is simply but has its own bohemian style in perfect harmony with the uniqueness of the area. Our room was overlooking a magnificent valley and the sunrise was absolutely breathtaking. Abhishek along with his beautiful wife and his classy Mother add lot of value to the stunning place. We had dinner along with them and felt better than any other lavish place in the world. Real organic food selected by the best naturalist in the country who pay attention to the safety of his guests, regardless if they are simply visiting Magnolia Mist for a walk in the plantation or they are spending a few nights in his Paradise. We are planning to visit them soon again as the experience was absolutely an unforgettable one!

Simply great !||A trip in April was our 4th time to this place. I have begun to like it a little more every time I visit and stay. Its a place to unwind and just be. No city like atmosphere, no noises and most of all no many people around. The hosts - Abhishek & Anna are so genuine and are true nature lovers. Food is totally simple and organic. The accommodation is good as well with a fantastic view of the paddy fields. All you need is to make your mind, to totally relax and unwind and this place offers you that. There is no luxury here, the rooms are neatly done and are clean. What you get here is peace of mind and being with nature.||Like I have mentioned ..will always go back !!

The owner of the place Mr. Abhishek Jain is one of the best naturalist in the country, an avid photographer and an expert in wildlife. A 1500 year old Magnolia tree, one of the oldest trees in Southern India welcomes u at the entry gate of this place. The 20 odd acre estate is 100% organic. The views are breathtaking.. secluded to the world, I and my family 10 members had the best time here. . Hospitality is also great. Abhishek and his staff take personal care of the guests. Although i have roamed various parts of the country and many foreign countries as well, the experience of this place was simply the best for the passion of Abhishek and his team towards making guests enjoy raw nature at its best.. the place is best suited for people who wish to enjoy nature and wildlife without distractions of T.V. etc. The food was delicious as well.. I and my whole family will cherish this trip and therefore this place is highly recommended..

Be careful and absolutely sure before planning a visit to this place. It's very far from the main city madekeri, the road to reach is in very bad condition. The rooms were clean but dingy, downtrodden and smelled of rotten wood. There were lot of insects in and around the room. No phone connection works , forget about internet. Frankly we didn't feel safe about it specially since we had 2 kids. Left the place within an hour and checked in to a place closer to city. The host is courteous and there is lot of greenery around but nothing to do for the kids, not even space to play. Be very sure that you crave the absolute isolation and have no plans to visit the city.

Magnolia Mist organic biodiverse coffee plantation is an attestation to the sheer passion of the jungle princess Aria (2.5 yrs) Anna and Abhishek. The 25 acres have been left as is. It includes a 2200 yr old magnolia tree, one of the oldest tree in South India. The plantation provides arabica, robusta and blends of the same to organic stores in india, roasted and ground upon demand. The living quarters - we did not check out, appear to be rustic. Enjoy the stay with the family that includes Pepper and many other dogs that are family pets.||A great place for city slickers to unwind from the hectic life of the big city. we bought a lot of plantation grown - coffee, black tea, very aromatic cardamom, cinnamon. Did not buy cloves, vanilla.

Anazing property and most of it seems like still foresty.|Simple healthy organic food.|Avoid the place if you are too finicky about the quality of accommodation.|one of the best places to chill , go for forest walks or just read a book and just be.|The new care taking couple amazing people. |It is an organic plantation and they do have coffee growing.|
