The Lodge

This is an old house converted into an Airbnb. We stayed at the Lodge suite. Has a balcony to relax. The house and the room gives you nostalgic grandma' house vibes. Very relaxing. Good breakfast. Very clean house and room and also the bathroom. Loved the atmosphere, the stuff kept around giving it a homely feel. Also loved the crockery from which we ate our food. We got to have neer dosa and tatte idli on different days and it was cooked well.

The Lodge is a huge bungalow in the heart of Madikeri. It has a great garden and is nice and secluded.||The rooms are huge and super clean. It operates as a homestay with freshly cooked, delicious food in a house that is probably fairly much unchanged since it was first built. You get the proper hill station experience with the amazing coffees enjoyed with the views of the hills in the distance.||The room we stayed at had a fireplace which made it even more cosy. Mahadeva the house keeper helps you light it up. He's an absolute legend and one of the more helpful housekeepers Ive met on my travels. His wife whips up some of the most amazing local food.||||One of the best homestays I've visited.

This is a very beautiful property and the ambience is so authentic. The rooms are huge with high ceilings and windows for sunlight. The food was so delicious that we preferred our breakfasts and dinner at the Lodge. Its green, spacious and within the city limits of Madekeri, couldn’t have asked for anything better in this affordable price. Must try Ghee rice with chicken curry ❤️❤️❤️ Highly recommended.

I did a lot of Internet search to find a suitable budget accommodation for the three day trip to beautiful Coorg. After a lot of searching, stumbled upon this property. I immediately contacted the owners via mail and got a room booked for two of us.||One beautiful January morning, we arrived around 11:00 a.m. at The Lodge. At the gate, my friend and I were warmly welcomed by Smita and Arjun Kalappa, the owners of this charming hotel. They chatted with us and offered tea and snacks. Smita showed me around the property and the garden area. I was touched with their warm reception and hospitality during our stay.||||The white-washed walls, wood furnitures, black and white photo frames on the wall, fireplace, high ceiling...my friend and I have fallen in love with this homestay. Our room was equally good. It had a big single bed with TV. The bathroom is spacious and very modern with hot and cold shower. The breakfast that we had was really wholesome and delicious. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the town area.||||The property has a small garden. One can laze around in the garden or take a walk. The many flowering and green potted plants around the house makes it look pretty and beautiful.||||I highly recommend this charming homestay for solo travellers and groups.

Coorg was at its best in Oct last week, ||couple of days we enjoyed cold and last day it was drizzling ||The Lodge was a Pleasant, cozy and comfortable home-stay. Nicely modified old property in the contemporary facility by retaining its identity.we enjoyed the most as there was no crowed and got full privacy in the house. The rooms, toilets and service was neat and clean, the food served was also delicious. Owner was not there but the caretaker also humble and cooperative. Itinerary send by owner was helpful in jotting our tour plan.Overall a good experience.

It was my husband's birthday and I was searching a nice stay and found this. I was lucky. We can't explain in words how much we were excited. It was an experience. Colonial ambience. Ancient South Indian feel in the whole property. There is no second thought.
