Hill View Retreat - Coorg

I had reserved via Booking.com App and the Host said to pay 20% for the confirmation. I asked him how much need to pay and to which payment method, and his reply was very late most of the time. At the time of reservation we have an option to request any special requirements . There I had requested balcony room with table and chair (which was already shown in the photos but for the confirmation we mentioned), and mentioned that room & toilet ensure to cleaned due to child is with us. The person who take caring the stay was not happy with that requests. He message vis Booking App “your room is got cancelled” but in the App it was not shown, it’s still “Confirmed” showing. When I called he said for 1500₹ we can’t provide that much of facilities like that of behaviour. It’s a basic needs where available in the stay and we were just making it confirmed. We understood that Host never accepts requests and never interested on these things. Then why the App is providing such options to the tourists? If he can’t assure these things then can definitely talk in a good manner to the customers. We reached Coorg and booked “Treebo Avyukta” via Booking App just with 1520₹ with a luxury room with balcony, swing chairs, terrace dining with view. (Hill View Retreat have just typical kind of house rooms). For family visitors definitely look some other properties.

A clean, calm option for stay. Not far away from town. You may have to drive to town for food as there is no food option nearby but its not too far. Very freindly owners. Nice balcony view.

The stay is conveniently located near Madikeri town, right next to the Mysuru-Mangaluru highway. The place is very calm, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The view from the balcony was superb, offering a serene experience. Overall, the hospitality was excellent, and the stay was budget-friendly—a great choice for a comfortable getaway.

If you got a vehicle then we can happily stay here . Very close to Nature and will enjoy the stay. The very first day I was little scared. But by the next day I felt very comfortable happy and safe. The owner is also very friendly. Don't keep any doubts can easily stay. Thank you🙏

Loved this stay in Coorg/Madikere. Awesome view of hills, clouds & sunset. Hosts were really nice. Rooms were neat & clean. Balcony with beautiful view & chairs & tables. House was also very spacious & good. Good available on advance order. Budget friendly. Family & couple friendly.

A new homestay with fully furnished rooms and all necessary amenities. Rooms are spacious & very hygienic. 🏡 Owner was humble and gentle. Food served was tasty and hygienic 👌🏻👌🏻 Easily accessible from main road within 50 meter. Morning hill view with a cup of coffee is amazing 🫖☕....!!

First of all, there is no food service, no caretaker. This is just a rental. This is not a homestays. While arriving, the owner, Mr. Tharanath shows you the room. & then everything you 've your own. There is a kitchen in ground floor. But, you have to buy vegetables from the madikeri market which is 3 kms away. & there is no public conveyance available. We stayed there for 3 nights. There was no room service. No maid came to clean your room& toilet. We've to pay more than 9000/- for a small room with bathroom. Only plus point is the terrace which give a 360 degree view of western ghats.
