KAVA Retreat - A Homestay in Chikmagalur

Stayed very recently in Kava home stay, I have few points to share. Room cleanliness: Room Cleanliness is average. Blankets doesn’t feel like fresh and its repeated. Wash rooms are clean and sufficient ventilation. Food : Completely unhappy with the menu and food hygiene. Not enough staffing and kitchen hygiene is completely ignored. Food quality is average. Never expected this quality of tea and coffee at Chikkamagaluru even road side shops do better. All Foods served very late and they prepare very small quantities. Very limited menu. Staff : Not guest friendly. You need to wait till the 5:30pm to get coffee or tea. Rules are like hostel. They make you feel like you are getting their service without giving any money. Ambiance cleanliness: constructions and reworking is happening and too much dust and not cleaned premises. Owner: only this part is good. They are good and talking to guests very friendly. Kava needs to work a lot on guest comfort. Kitchen is small and you have cleaning place next to kitchen and this will make guest uncomfortable. Pls make sure your cooks are clean and maintain hygiene. You are a coffee bean 🫘 maker. Pls give coffee availability to guests on request basis. Pls give importance to premise cleanliness and room cleanliness. Kindly arrange local and authentic food instead of freeze foods and Upittu all the time. Also pls give quality food to guests. As we are not compromised in collecting money as stated let’s not compromise on guest services. Thanks 🙏

One of the best home stays in Chikmagalur. Place was really nice and clean. You will enjoy the nature around it. Umera gave me warm welcome and took care of all the necessary things. She provided excellent hospitality. I would recommend everyone to must go there and spend some alone time in nature!

We visited the Kava retreat a week back, we had a very pleasant experience during our stay. We were 10 friends visiting together, the rooms are spacious, neat and clean. The staff is very kind and helpful, we enjoyed the bonfire, the misty weather and the stay in the coffee plantation, Of course the food is delicious. The location is in the forest where we are far away from all the noises of the city. Must recommended place in Chikmagalur.

Beautifully maintained... Best place to chill and enjoy nature.. host is very nice and helpful.. amazing food... Great facilities including bonfire. Nice place to stay.

Kava Retreat exceeded all expectations! The tranquil atmosphere, comfortable accommodations, and exceptional service made for a perfect getaway. 10/10 would return! Great service by Suresh the chef... And wonderful hospitality by Umera... We were fortunate to see a tiger at the Bhadra Reserve, which is just 10 Km from Kava.

Just got back with my friends from Kava Retreat. We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. And man,!! It was a detox and rejuvenating trip. Rooms are amazing. Clean hygienic and totally welcoming. The host Ms.Umera is a dynamo. She is active, attentive, engaging and most importantly very friendly. The staff are courteous to a fault and very very helpful. We got back hungry after a hectic sightseeing. The staff hustled up comfort food and with a smile too !! Quiet location. Quite simply fabolous accomodation and food. Has life saving wifi too! An ideal spot to go and detox from city life and return rejuvenated. Thanks to Ms.Umera and the excellent staff. Thanks 🙏🏿 🙏🏿 🙏🏿

Kava retreat is one of the best homestay property in Callander chickmagalore. We group of friends had a wonderful time there . Staff s are very polite cooperative. Food is very tasty . Nice ambiance. I would definitely recommend.
