Hill Down Home Stay

I recently stayed at Hill Down Homestay, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few areas for improvement. **Positive Points:** 1. **Location**: The homestay is situated in a beautiful, green, and serene environment, which is perfect for a peaceful getaway. The surrounding area offers scenic views, adding to the overall charm of the place. The neighboring areas are also quite lovely to explore. 2. **Facilities**: The homestay has a nice swimming pool, which was a great addition for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The balcony in our room offered a fantastic view and was a perfect spot for enjoying the cool breeze. 3. **Family Vibe**: The homestay is run by a family, and it felt very homely. The family members were welcoming, and their presence added a personal touch to the stay. **Negative Points:** 1. **Wifi Issues**: While the homestay does offer wifi, we faced issues with connectivity during our stay. Unfortunately, we were unable to access the internet, which could be an inconvenience for guests who need reliable connectivity. 2. **Jio Network Connectivity**: There was no signal for Jio network, which might be a problem for people relying on that provider for calls or data. 3. **Campfire Disappointment**: The website mentioned a campfire experience, but when we arrived, there was no campfire or related activity. The owner was unavailable during our stay, and we were informed that this was the reason the campfire couldn’t be arranged. 4. **Room Availability**: There are four rooms in total, and the family lives in one of them. While this wasn’t a problem for us, it’s worth noting for those seeking more privacy that three of the rooms were rented out, and the family’s presence was noticeable. Despite a few setbacks with the wifi and the missing campfire, the stay at Hill Down Homestay was overall positive. The location, the green surroundings, the pool, and the homely atmosphere made it a relaxing retreat. I’d recommend it for those looking for a quiet, nature-filled experience, but potential guests should check the wifi and campfire availability before booking.

It was a really wonderful stay. Mr Ashok, the owner was very humble and they treated us very well. The food they serve here is really good. Amazing experience and very reasonable prices. Very ideal stay to go with a group .

Wanted to take a moment to thanks His entire team who made the best possible food and snacks that added a delightful touch to the stay. Highly recommendable for an enjoyable experience.

It's a authentic Chikmagaluru experience on the foot of the deviramma betta along with the local cuisine and fun activities. I enjoyed my two nights stay on the site. The staff were polite and helpful, the view to the betta during sunrise or sunset were amazing!

I experienced a truly homely atmosphere at HILLDOWN homestay. Mr. Ashok, the owner, extended exceptional kindness, making me feel as if I were in my own house. His assistance in preparing grill chicken and organizing a bonfire added a delightful touch to the stay. The private pool was a great feature, and both the cook and Mr. Arun, the caretaker, went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Good place to relax . Need to have your own vehicle for exploring the other tourist attractions. Away from city but great place to stay and wonderful hospitality by the Owner and staffs. They have private pool also.

Beautiful location, super clean and spacious rooms , with exquisite decor. All the rooms are tastefully decorated by the owners and cleanly maintained . Amazing hospitality by the hosts , unlimited and tasty snacks, breakfast and dinner were served during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Hilldown home stay and highly recommend it for other travelers.
