Haris Beach Home

The location was perfect. It was on a small cliff overlooking the sea with access to a ( almost) private beach. The rooms were a bit dated but clean and toilets were well maintained. We took a 2 bedroom cottage and it could comfortably house 5-6 adults. The food is an area where they can improve on the taste. Both the breakfast and dinner was just OK and average in taste. There are also no nearby restaurants, so you will have to plan well. Overall a good place to stay in Kannur.

We spent a few wonderful days at Harris Beach Home. The food was excellent, with delicious seafood and river crabs. The fish mango curry was a unique and delightful surprise. There were plenty of choices for breakfast. The staff were friendly and attentive. But what made our stay truly special was the owner, Harris – a warm and inspiring person who went out of his way to create beautiful memories for us. He organized some amazing experiences, such as visiting the fish market, going on river boat rides, and grilling fresh fish. Highly recommended.

Harris Beach Home was a fantastic stay! The location is absolutely beautiful – right on the beachfront, with a lovely breeze and a peaceful atmosphere. Being far from the city makes it an ideal spot for a calm and relaxing getaway, especially with the soothing sound of the waves in the background. The food was pleasant, though the menu had limited options. One downside was that the last order time for food was 10:30 PM, which felt a bit early. Also, there were quite a few mosquitoes at night, so it’s something to be prepared for. The rooms were clean and hygienic. The staff provided professional service, and the owner was very responsive and helpful throughout the stay. Overall, it’s a great place for corporate outings or private events if you’re looking for a quiet, scenic retreat away from the city.

Beautiful property and amazing hospitality. We were a group of 8 girls who went there for a getogether. We had an amazing time. We also celebrated birthday of our friend and the resort team were very helpful with decorations and co operated very well and gave all help for us.. the view from the property is amazing and private beach was so good , calm, clean . We would definitely come back with our family

Beautiful location. Fantastic balcony room overlooking sea and beach. all Staff were very attentive and caring. It was a perfect end to a week in Kerala. Oh and v.Nice local breakfast buffet!

It was nice to stay at Haris Beach Homestay. I really like this place as it’s in the cliffs and the view from this place is awesome. You will homely here with old style furniture and beautiful paintings. The food is ok not that much good. I will say breakfast was good which was included into our booking. We stayed there for 2 nights and wanted to have some fishes but it was not available. The room price is bit high as compared to other property in kannur.

The stay is good and well-maintained, with a pleasant ambiance. The owner is very responsive, and the breakfast provided is decent. However, there are a few drawbacks—access to the beach is not easy, especially for families, as one has to climb over rocks to reach the beach area. Additionally, there is no clear indication of sea depth, which can be a safety concern. While GST is charged, no bill is provided, which is a bit concerning. The dinner menu has limited vegetarian options, which could be improved.

Beautiful place. Wonderful staff Mr Haris was such a sweet and kind person. Has a private beach unfortunately it is not clean ie the ocean washes waste to the shoor. I doubt they can be cleaned. Food was good one thing to remember you need to inform them if you want dinner beforehand. Would visit again.
