Sakeer's rooms are a good solution for solo travelers or couples. Location is ideal (5mn from the beach and the city center). There's a little terrace where you can chill or smoke a cigarette. And the owner is very nice :)

Wow, we stayed here for the first time in 2008. Now, after reading our travel diary we checked on googlemaps if Rosa-Rio still exists (which we did not have back in 2008 :D) We are a bit sad that it only has such few reviews here. Because it is really one of the best places you can stay in this area! It has everything: great host, great location, great price! Definitely a recommendation.

My grand dad owns the place I grew up there. So I'll tell u something it's the only place where you'll get cheap rooms and everything is close by. The beach, Chinese fishing nets, st fracis church, etc. So if you want a good and cheap HOMESTAY go for this. I suggest u don't use hotels cause of the extreme prices.

Il proprietario Sakeer è una persona molto gentile e disponibile, ha fatto di tutto per metterci a proprio agio. Camera larga, con due ampi letti gemelli (800 rupie a notte) e zanzariere fisse alle finestre. Ottima posizione: tranquillo, fresco ma comodissimo per muoversi a Fort Cochin.

The owner Sakeer is a very kind and helpful person, he did everything to make us comfortable. Large room, with two large twin beds (800 rupees per night) and fixed mosquito nets on the windows. Excellent location: quiet, cool but very convenient for moving around Fort Cochin.

Très agréable guest house très très proche du centre du vieux Cochin. Prix raisonnable et petite terrasse à l'étage pour le soir. Proche visite et départ bateau.||Propriétaire accueillant et sympathique, aimant partager. Possibilité d'utiliser frigo.

Very pleasant guesthouse very, very close to the center of Old Cochin. Reasonably priced and small upstairs terrace for evenings. Close to sightseeing and boat departures. Welcoming and friendly owner, who enjoys sharing. Fridge available.

Nous sommes arrivé tout à fait par hasard et n'avons pas été déçu. On se sent vraiment chez l'habitant le gérant ferait tout pour vous aidez, la femme de chambre à toujours le sourire, le propriétaire de 90 ans dégage une très belle énergie, en bref un endroit pour tout ceux qui aiment les gens...

We arrived completely by chance and were not disappointed. You really feel like you are at a local's house; the manager would do anything to help you, the maid always has a smile, the 90-year-old owner exudes a very nice energy; in short, a place for anyone who loves people...
