The hosts are incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Their knowledge of the local area was invaluable in helping us explore Fort Kochi's rich history and culture. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the beach, shops, and historical sites. From the delicious breakfast to the friendly atmosphere, everything about our stay was exceptional. Excellent homestay at a great location and affordable price. Mr.Ralph and his wife are wonderful people, they provide useful assistance for local food and were kind enough to accommodate us on their own home for a day of extended stay. Rooms are well maintained and clean, WiFi and shared kitchen and dining halls are present. They can also arrange for local boating expeditions and help in renting a two wheeler on request. Location is very close to Fort Kochi beach and it's just a bit inside from the main road making it a calm and peaceful stay.

The host is a control freak and kept telling us about checkout time and the last time to get back in at night which is 10pm! This is when they have pasted check-out time posters at every wall and door of the house. The view from our room was a pile of rubbish. The location is good being only 10 min walk from town centre. The only good part about the stay were the rooms. They were spotless!

Birds Nest is really a great place to be: quiet, clean, comfortable and above all with great hosts. They were always approachable and helpful. The typical South Indian breakfast they served us was delicious and varied - worth a visit for that alone. And the hostess even showed us how to prepare it in her own kitchen! We felt very comfortable during the four days we spent there. In short, Birds Nest will be our first choice next time too.

Clean, quiet, safe. The house is tucked in a very quiet lane in a nice residential area only 15' walk from the very heart of Fort Cochin. My room on the upper floor was spacious, clean, with wardrobe, mirror, table, ceiling fan and very useful mosquito screens on all windows which I appreciate since I like to keep windows open at night. Wi-Fi is somewhat erratic, but ok. Bathroom ok. I will definetly stay there again.

The rooms are comfortable (beds with good mattresses and pillows, clean sheets). Attached bathroom includes hot shower and toilet. No mosquitos, fan, shelf, power outlet near the bed. Wifi works well also in the room. Clean and quiet. ||||Special about this place are the extra facilities: large communal spaces where you can sit in comfortable chairs or at a western style table; well-equipped kitchen to cook a simple meal or make coffee. There is a fridge and a freezer. Drinking water is available 24/7. ||||The hosts are not only friendly, but also effective with an ability to listen to your concerns! They speak English well.In Kochi I stayed in four different homestays and one hotel before settling at Birdsnest. By comparison it was the best place by far. Stayed over three weeks.

We feel very lucky to have found such a nice place in Fort Cochin. The area is very central but still quiet. There is an entire house with 3 rooms, a common living room, common dining, common kitchen, common balcony. It’s very spacious and you really feel at home. The room was big and sparkling clean, furniture was very well maintained and bed very comfy! Bathroom was also well designed and clean. We had a very cozy and relaxing 6-days stay. The couple who runs the place is very nice and can help with everything. They can also make you delicious South Indian breakfast. We definitely recommend the place and will come back if we visit Cochin again! 🙏
