Blake Home Stay

Wow- where do I start? This a a very nice and clean accommodation very all the sites you want to see (it's great to just step outside and get something to eat or go see something). A/C works great, room is immaculate. Coffee is available upon request. It was a perfect stay. But the real star here is Mr Anthony who runs this place. He is the most generous and helpful host- probably the best host in my 5 years of constant travel. He will help you with anything you need. He took me to the International Mall because he didn't want me to travel alone on the bus. so sweet. He made sure all my needs and requests were fulfilled. I only originally booked a short stay but I extended many days because of the great hospitality I received here. I would always come back and stay here only (I made the mistake of staying at another place since Blake homestay was fully booked- I had a very horrible experience at Lavender Homestay).

God send! It's the only way to describe Blake's home stay! Right in the middle of where you need to be as a tourist. Specially during the Biannale! Amazing eating spots are barely 300 mtrs away. Then there is the beautiful Santa Cruz Basilica that you can literally see from the house itself! Blake's home stay is all this and more but what makes it most significant is Uncle Anthony. As a seasoned solo traveller, though am used to living alone but am still always a little cautious of the first time when I go to a place. Uncle Anthony was like a father figure during my stay. So incredibly kind, helpful and warm..I have NEVER had such hospitality even at a 5 star! As a man he is the kindest person you will ever encounter in your travels. He helped me with repairs of my bag which broke enroute to Cochin, and as I was alone, he was kind enough to drop me to the bus point when I left. If anything made my stay so safe and secure, it was definitely his kindness! The room and most importantly the bathroom is spotless. The only mild issue you might face is a little traffic sound off and on but by the time you go to sleep, even that dies down completely. So it's not a problem at all. The AC works just right, the beds are comfortable.. In all, for me, THIS IS IT in Fort Kochi. Don't even think. You are lucky if you get a room and get to experience uncle's wonderful hospitality. This is what home stays should be all about. Thank you Uncle.

We had a wonderful stay at Blake home stay. Nice and clean rooms in a good location, close to restaurants and the water with the Chinese fishing nets. The owner is very friendly, helpful and generous. He took good care of us when we got sick and arranged everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this home stay if you are planning on visiting Kochi.

We stayed here in Feb and loved it. The host is what makes it as he is on hand at all times to help you with anything and everything you need. ||Rooms are basic but aircon works well and the hot water tap is the hottest I've seen in India for a shower.||Location is also great and within walking distance to all sights in Fort Kochi

Coming for the Biennale we stayed with Anthony and it was wonderful! Warm reception and super clean ac room with nice bathroom in quiet street being so central. We had the balcony room with 300 for early check-in. Super central for fort Kochi events and restaurants. Definitely my new home away from home in Cochin.

We had a great time there. Anthony the host was so nice, helped us in every little thing we needed... he is such a nice person and you can feel how much he cares about his guest. Nice and clean room. Highly recommended!

Excellent homestay!! Clean, comfortable, affordable room within walking distance of many sites and restaurants on a beautiful tree lined street. The owner could not have been more kind, hospitable, or helpful.. He truly made it feel like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend!!

The homestay provide clean and neat AC rooms, the location is very close to all major attractions in fortcochin. ||||The owner mr. prakash is very nice and helpful. He is ready to go help and assist the guests at all times.||||We wish you much success
