For the last few years we always try and spend New Years with Friends and Family in a calm and serene location tucked away in natures lap far away from the fast moving traffic and crowd.. 2017 New Years we found the perfect place that ticks all those boxes perfectly!! Kayalkatt Retreat was a refreshing experience to sign off 2016 and welcome 2017 with a smile on your face.. not far from Cochin but definitely oblivious to the daily maddening crowd and glaring fast paced life around us. Absolutely stunning view of the backwaters and the moonlight reflecting on it is a surely a sight you wouldn't want to miss. Authentic homely Kerala cuisine cooked that teases your taste buds and gives you the taste of what the local delicacies have to offer is a take away to remember... To sign off, Kayalkatt Resorts is a must visit place with friends, family and all who love to have a laid back and relaxed time out!!

We were three families, and spent one night at kayalkatt retreat. Its a calm place facing the backwaters, where u can spend your day just listening to music, or playing chess or reading books. Complete peace of mind...||Rooms are good and very clean.. ||Food is awesome - a variety of sea food dishes are available and it was delicious. ||Altogether a perfect hideout to sit and relax!

About 10km away from Kochi lies this beautiful home stay. The view of the river, the food, the experience, was all the ingredients for a great holiday. We went boating and even tried our hand at fishing. Thank you Sujit, we'll certainly be back soon.

Kayakatt is indeed an awesome place to relax & enjoy the beautiful backwaters….. The morning view of the water & sunrise is indeed breathtaking... You will get treated to lip - smacking dishes.. ….Fantastic sea food, which you should not miss out on……... Recommended for both family as well as friends…….

Had an excellent time. Food was awesome and the service by the caretaker was very good. The place is very scenic and is absolutely beautiful in the evening and night.||That the resort is located only 10kms from the city is an additional advantage as its easily accessible
