Just had the most peaceful stay at a lovely homestay in Kumbalangi, Cochin—a solid 10/10! The room was clean, comfy, and opened up to serene backwater views. Waking up to the sight of calm waters and swaying coconut trees was magical. The hosts served delicious home-cooked Kerala meals—especially the fish curry and appam! Evenings were perfect with fresh toddy and snacks, and we enjoyed a quiet walk along the village paths, watching Chinese fishing nets in action. Nearby, we explored local boat rides, tried fishing, and soaked in the laid-back charm of quite life. Truly a hidden gem—peaceful, scenic, and soul-refreshing. Highly recommended! Cherry on top, the host Uncle and Aunty was so sweet and so welcoming.
