Mr Basil and his father made my family feel right at home. They’re kind, courteous and generous hosts who made our stay worth remembering. The check in was smooth and late night conversation with Basil’s father was one of the better moments of our trip. It’s situated right near the forest entrance and the rooms were smelling great and spotlessly clean!! Drinking water and every basic amnesties we’re provided prior to checking in. All the fine restaurants and cafés are situated in close proximity of the property. I’d highly recommend this place eyes closed and I’d happily come back here again! 5/5 any day!!

The cleanest hotel that we have stayed in ever and the hosts were incredibly kind, friendly and helpful in every manner. There was no restaurant at the homestay but there is a very good restaurant at Hotel Ambady exactly across the road serving excellent food. Though the homestay is right at Ambady junction and its facade is unpretentious, the rooms are sufficiently spacious with hot water and a balcony facing the forest. You can be assured of a quiet night's sleep as the rooms are towards the rear of the building. And this area of the town is even otherwise quiet once the Periyar tiger reserve closes for the day. There are a lot of places to stay at Thekkady, but believe me this is probably the best.

A wholesome stay with Abdul & Family. The family are humble hosts who go the extra mile to ensure you are comfortable at their homestay. A well maintained, comfortable & peaceful property.

Mr. Abdul and his family are wonderful hosts, kind and attentive. The room was comfortable, very clean, in a calm area of Thekkady, very close to the entrance of Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and the Wildlife Office Premises, where you can book the activities inside the Park. It was a very nice moment and I really enjoyed it, especially the conversations with Mr. Abdul, and his great sense of humour. I felt like at home, so I recommend Thekkady Homestay wholeheartedly to enjoy your visit to the area. Thanks and hope we'll meet again!

Lovely place. We had a wonderful time here. Basil it's lovely person and his family too. Very kind. We feel very confortable. The room has all the facilities is clean and very beatiful. Lovely sorroundings.
