Periyar Woods

The homestay is very pretty. It is situated at a 5 minute walking distance from the market on the main road, where you will find a huge variety of stores, especially outlets of Kerala spices. The rooms are decent and the balcony has a beautiful view and you can see the hills from the terrace.

Best place to stay and have food in Thekkady we had a 2 night stay with 4 rooms for a team of 11 people had no problem at all. Enjoyed Thanks Satish you are a wonderful Host !!

One of the best experiences at home is to stay.. Mr. & Mrs. Sathish hospitality was very very good.. Especially the home style food, must try their home cooking. Organising the entire schedule with perfection. They guided us to choose the right time to visit the right location.. Mandatory try Jeep Safari, we got a wonderful supporting driver namely Vijay, who take us to the entire adventure Safari.

No hot water in both the rooms we booked. Wifi they provided was really bad and was of no use at all. The room they were giving us initially had a really bad smell as if some rat died in there. Towels were old and thin and had stains 😞

It’s a beautiful home stay in the midst of multiples activities that you wanted to do after visiting thekady. Sathish anna and his wife the owners of the stay are a great host. They helped us to plan the intenary in a better way making sure we cover all place on visiting Thekkady. If you are looking for a budget stay with a clean and calm rooms please do visit them. They also serve you food from their home kitchen if you need it. It was one of the best choice tht we made. They also have their own Jeep safari do take it if possible they take you to great locations.

A good place for a peaceful stay with friends and family. The resort is well maintained and it’s situated in the middle of kumily with easy access to all sightseeing places and other activities like, elephant safari, jeep safari, kalari, etc

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Periyar Woods Homestay in Thekkady, Kerala, and it was an exceptional experience. The rooms in the homestay were exceptionally clean and neat. Sathish, the owner, was a standout host. His friendliness and supportive nature made our stay memorable. He went above and beyond by personally showing us around the area in his own jeep. His local knowledge and enthusiasm added a unique touch to our visit. One of the highlights was the off-road jeep ride Sathish organized. It was an exhilarating and adventurous experience, offering breathtaking views and a real sense of exploration. The ride was well worth the money and truly enhanced our stay. Overall, Periyar Woods Homestay is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Thekkady, with exceptional hospitality and memorable experiences facilitated by Sathish. Highly recommended!

A last minute booking for our 1 night stay at Thekkady. The host was great and very accommodating. Rooms were clean and spacious , AC is not required due to the cool breeze from their beautiful balcony. and property were clean. Great location to the centre and other activity centers. Only issue is that we didn't get hot water. Would definitely recommend!
