Somasree Homestay

I had a wonderful time staying at Somasree Homestay. The accommodations are lovely, the food is delicious, and Soman and his wife are very welcoming. Additionally, they're very knowledgeable about tourism in Kerala, which is very helpful. They had excellent amenities including wi-fi and A/C. This was the perfect place to call home during my time in Trivandrum!

I stayed here last week with a friend for 1 night, before catching a flight from Trivandrum airport. My friend is disabled, needing a wheelchair or walking frame to get around. Soman was an excellently attentive host, and very accomodating to our special needs.||||Upon arrival we were treated to a delicious, traditional Keralan lunch, prepared by Soman's warm-hearted wife, which consisted of fish curry, fried fish, rice, chapati, dal, thoran and various other vegetable dishes. Dinner was much the same - tasty & wholesome.||||We stayed in an AC deluxe room with front-facing balcony and running hot water in our ensuite. The room was spacious, clean and good value. The property also had a large roof terrace with sofa and swing chair, which provided nice surrounding views and a quiet spot to chill out or practice yoga.||||Soman arranged for us a very early morning taxi to the nearby airport (3km), after supplying us with breakfast of puttu, homegrown banana and coffee. We had a great experience at Somasree and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a real homestay in Trivandrum.

We visited trivandrum for just a night with 2 kids and a baby sitter. Mr and Mrs . Soman were very helpful in extending their hospitality and allowed us to use their kitchen. We were able to make food for the babies. Very child friendly and clean, well maintained and highly recommendable hosts. We were very happy staying there and would suggest the place without second thoughts to anybody visiting trivandrum.

I booked this based on the reviews and I am so glad that I did. Right from the taxi being at the airport to the second I left it was a wonderful experience. Soman helped me organise my time by suggesting places to visit, getting me tuk-tuks and booking trips for me. It truly is a family experience with his wife making totally delicious food (the best I had on the entire trip) and even his nephew using his day off to take me to Poovar and introduce me to the area south of Thiruvananthapuram. This was the best introduction to Kerala I could have had.

Hi, Just got back after 2 days stay at Somasree. Excellent . I am 60 + stayed with my wife. Mr. Soman was very helpful right from advising us on sightseeing, shopping. , temple visitsvandaso on Since we don't know the local language he helped us out I can write a separate chapter on food .. It was so good . If you are on diet or wary about putting on weight then Somasree is not the place for you because invariably you will end up eating more. Put it simply Somasree is home away from home

Conveniently close to the airport, train station and downtown Trivandrum, Somasree Homestay is the perfect home base for exploring Kerala. Pristine Varkala beach is a short train ride away. Bustling Trivandrum is at your door step. Catch a rickshaw from the front door to practically anywhere. Soman and his wife obviously care a great deal about their homestay hosting. They served delicious food, were enjoyable company conversant in all aspects of Kerala culture and history, provided expert advice about sightseeing, and made me feel welcome in their home and neighborhood with their gracious friendliness. The room was clean, spacious, had a connected bathroom and there was A/C and wifi; everything a weary traveler needs to recharge.

I stayed at the homestay for a few days while visiting my sister, who had been staying with them for a number of months, and Soman and his wife were wonderful hosts. They were very welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable about Kerala. And the food was delicious! I absolutely recommend staying with at Somasree Homestay.

I arrived here on 29 oct 2017 and staying till date. Mr Soman and his wife made me feel no different than home. Aunty and uncle both use to make very delicious and tasty cuisine, kerala special and north indian as well, different types on each day.||This house is located at a place where everything is available within 2.5 km of radius, whether it is trivandrum central, Trv Airport, padmanabhaswamy temple, big bazaar, movie theatres, Hospital, CGHS etc all within 2.5km.||Also, M/s Somasree Homestay is a Kerala Govt. approved Homestay on date. ||Overall, families and other individuals can stay here to enjoy God's Own Country beautiful tourist destinations and have a great homely stay herein at M/s Somasree Homestay.||||
