Mountain Villa, Vagamon

My wife and I needed a peaceful getaway after a busy wedding week and we ended up booking the Mountain Villa. As the rates were a bit premium, we were a bit sceptical, but once we visited, we were more than happy. The service, the food and the location itself, it was serene and peaceful - exactly what we wanted. There were some additional activity options available at a cost, we did not take it and just enjoyed the two nights at this place. We will definitely visit again.

We have stayed at Mountain Villa for 4 nights, coming from England. We have loved it. High up, sometimes in or above the clouds, this is an incredibly peaceful haven. The views are spectacular. The grounds are really pretty with thoughtful planting of flowers as well as a fruit and vegetable garden that are used by the chefs for lovely authentic Indian food. We stayed in both the Stone Cottage and Planters Annexe. Both were spotless. I think it is important to point out that both have wet rooms where the showers do make the floor and the toilet wet. This does not bother us, but it might some.||The journey up to Mountain Villa requires a 4 wheel drive. They come and pick you up from the paved road. Again, if this worries you, don't come, but the drivers are incredibly safe. ||For two of our days here we did walks from the property with MarSammy. They were lovely. The first passing through a tea plantation out to a lookout point. We were accompanied by Sugu ( the resident dog) who is not only friendly but he is actually looking out for danger. On our last day he chased away a snake that came close to our cottage. The second walk we did was up to a religious retreat complete with churches, nunnery and dairy. We can't thank MarSammy and Sugu enough. ||We also did a jeep tour to the meadows, pine forest, Suicide Point (love the name) and to Kurisamala. Whilst we didn't get all the way to the church, the walks up some of the way afforded more spectacular views.||Thank you to Abel and for the chefs for a fantastic stay. This is a special place to stay.

A scenic beauty located on kurisumala hilltop in Vagamon. Had an amazing experience starting off with an offroad drive in a jeep provided by the property for about 3 km. The view on the way to the property was breathtaking. The property is secluded and peaceful and perfect for an escape from the city life. It is aesthetically pleasing and also the view from there is really great. The cottages are very clean and well maintained. Food was a tad expensive. Overall a very good experience at Mountain Villa Stay. Will definitely visit this place once again.

Where Kerela is known as God's own country, this serene and mesmerizing stay should be God's heavenly abode. Such a picturesque and beautiful location atop the mountain through a beautiful scenic route with top notch hygiene and hospitality. It's such a beautiful property and few words cannot be enough to justify how much we loved staying here! The rooms were maintained so neat and tidy with special areas which give you breathtaking views, the dining hall was so nice and the food was finger licking good. The hosts Sunita and Alex are such warm and lovely people who greeted us so nicely. I am very much thankful to them to accomodate my special requests as well. It was lovely meeting you guys! The chefs Madaswami ji and Lebin prepared such delicious and authentic Kerala style food and treated us just like family and Jayakrishnan also helped us a lot to reach the property nicely and showing around. We had the best day here during our 7 day Kerala trip and I am truly grateful to all of these people for such an amazing experience. More than a stay, it felt like home. Would definitely visit you guys once again whenever I come back to Kerala. Thankyou very much!

The place is secluded, overpriced and overhyped. The stay is located in a very secluded location, it may feel frightful for some people.The rooms were okay, the lighting inside may not be palatable for many, it's very dark. The views from the property are amazing and that is the only positive but that cannot justify the price they charge for food and stay. The food was good but overpriced. We also had a bad experience with the booking process and particularly with the attitude of the host.

It's an unmatched tranquility and serenity! The cottages here provide a stunning view of the valley and are tucked away in complete seclusion on the slope of a hill. The rooms & bathrooms were spotless. The cuisine, service, and hospitality are excellent. The host goes above and beyond to make sure you have all of your needs met. Overall, it was a lovely experience that leaves you yearning for more. Recommended to all couples seeking to unwind & escape into the mountains.

It was an excellent two night stay. Totally off the grid. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation to escape your daily grind, it doesn't get any better than this. Here are a few things that I loved the most: views, food, courteous and helpful staff, cozy rooms, greenery, and just about everything else. It was a great trip. 💯 Would recommend.
