The bathroom had an awful sewage smell. Since there was no exhaust fan that worked properly, the bathroom window had to be kept open, which allows mosquitoes to enter the room. Aside from the smell, it also looks not well-maintained and cleaned. There were even a lot of sand on the side that could have easily been removed if only they cleaned it with water. The bad smell also travels to the bedroom. We initially wrote that we’re booking for 3 days, but upon seeing the bathroom situation, we were considering moving somewhere else so we told the owner we might just stay one night. However the guy got super aggressive and insisting that we said 3 days. Yes we did but the photos also promised a clean place and that’s not what we got so it’s reasonable that we would want to cancel the 2 nights. On Booking website and Airbnb if the place is not as clean as expected, you will get refund. Since the owner was aggressive and I got scared of him, we just paid him the full 3 days and sucked it up. I didn’t really appreciate his behaviour though. There was no soap in the bathroom either. Usually I wouldn’t mind this much but given the owner’s behaviour, you would think that a soap would be something they put there automatically without having to ask them. Overall, not recommended unless you’re fine with smelly bathroom + bedroom.

Very clean and safe place. Perfect for a longer stay. The breakfast was great. The hosts were very helpful and supportive when I had some health issues. I can highly recommend this place.

A private full house with living room, dining table, kitchen, 2 toilets, washing machine and private terrace for about 1500/night at a very peaceful location near South cliff and right next to a beautiful pond. Owners are friendly and have a nice farm around the house. Kitchen wasn't helpful since there was no gas connection and the cutlery wasn't clean, but we only stayed for a couple of days. This would be a great place to stay for a longer vacation in Varkala.

MN Home stay is a good place in budget at Varkala. The owner are very kind, helpful and caring people. The stay is a set of bedroom with living room kitchen and bathroom. Though kitchen does not have cooking facility. Also only one CON :- The house doesnt have AC. With heat at Varkala, it may get very difficult to stay here during summers.

Beautiful and calm place near south cliff...Neat garden area and spacious varanda..We have been there for three days and the food(Dosa, Idly, Chicken curry, Appam, Idiyyappam, Coconut milk, Fish curry, Fish Fry, Veg Curry) cooked by the aunty was superb.. she is too polite and humble..we are missing you.. Overall it was a best stay..Thank you!

It was really a wonder experience staying in threre. Only 5minutes walk from beach and safe at day and night. House is really beutiful, spacious and clean..worth for the money paid...Would like to choose it any time in future.. .
