Chandralok Service Apartment

We stayed on 2nd floor, flat 202 for 6 nights. Pro's 1) Rooms were clean. 2) Location is good and convenient 3) Plenty of natural light throughout the apartment. Con's 1) Both bathrooms had a persistent odor. One of them was particularly unpleasant and unusable for the first two days. Although the caretaker cleaned it later, the issue returned shortly after. 2) Internet speed was very poor. It only worked in the living room and there was no connectivity in the bedrooms. 3) Very few utensils in the kitchen. Quality of dinner plates, bowls and tea cups was very poor, not of steel but plastic. 4) Toiletries provided were insufficient for a multi-day stay. 5) Master room doesn't have mosquito net to window or sliding door. So you can not keep window or door open for fresh air. Not worth the price charged. For the rates they demand, better options are definitely available in the same area.

Flat 202 - Honest Experience The bathrooms had a persistent unpleasant smell throughout my stay. The kitchen sink would often clog and there was noticeable leakage under it. Internet speed was consistently slow — around 17–18 Mbps even on good days — which made working remotely difficult. Housekeeping could be improved; sheets and towels were not replaced regularly unless specifically requested. Be aware that your booking may be changed or upgraded without prior notice, sometimes at a different rate. Considering the price charged per night, the overall comfort and cleanliness did not meet expectations. Sharing honest feedback was met with strong pushback, including direct calls asking for changes to the review.

Beautiful apartment created with a lot of thought. Unbelievable amounts of open spaces, natural light in every place and that bedside reading place is just a thing of beauty. I have booked this stay twice and had an amazing experience. Varied variety of birds visiting the terrace and chirping in the morning is and added bonus.

Highly recommend ****** Lovely and comfortable homestay with all good facilities and services. Cost affordable with pleasent stay. Staff is also polite and ooperative. Also it has a homemade food services. I always preferred to saty with my family of 5 to 6 persons here because of friendly stay. Covered car parking is also a available.

The location is excellent, nestled in a peaceful area. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are well-maintained and deserve a perfect 5/5 rating, though cleanliness could be improved. Unfortunately, I noticed cockroaches in the kitchen area, which should be addressed and water purifier is not functioning properly. It would also be beneficial to have a microwave oven for added convenience. Overall, it's a good place to stay and recommended with a few improvements.

I stayed at Hotel 7th Floor during my solo trip to Kolhapur on 12th April 2025, and I must say it was one of the best and most unique experiences I've had. This was my first time choosing a homestay, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The property is located in Nagala Park, one of the oldest and most prominent areas in Kolhapur. It's close to major landmarks, with the iconic New Palace—a well-known heritage site—just nearby, adding to the charm of the location. I was allotted a room on the 7th floor of the apartment building, which turned out to be one of the best spots. The elevation gave it a cool, breezy feel and offered a relaxing terrace view. The ambiance provided both comfort and privacy, making it an ideal place to unwind. Speaking of the room—it was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, just like a hotel room. It came fully equipped with modern amenities including personal WiFi, air conditioning, a refrigerator, electric stove, and more. Everything was thoughtfully arranged to make the stay comfortable. This homestay is perfect for solo travelers, married couples, and families. I’m not sure how suitable it is for larger friend groups, but for those looking for peace and convenience, it's a great choice. Distances from key places: Kolhapur Railway Station: 1.1 km Kolhapur Bus Stand: 1.5 km Shree Mahalaxmi Temple: 1.1 km Overall, I was truly impressed and will definitely consider staying here again for future visits to Kolhapur. We stopped while going back from Goa to Pune for Mahalaxmi Darshan. We reached late and planned to leave early morning but after seeing the place we decided to spend full morning and enjoy the amazing views and house . very well done and very good owner. I would highly recommend the place
