SSS Homestay

Hotel location, facilities and safety were excellent. They provided home made food as well, which were cheap and best and the staffs hospitality was excellent. We had booked for 2 days, but we had to cancelled the last day and head home. When we informed the owner, he offered to pay back the last day amount - which we had never came across in many years of travel. That's a genuine gesture which I really appreciate. This place is much recommend.

So far the best homestay experience we had in India. The place is super chill and the room where we have slept was really clean, pretty and colorful. The bed was really comfortable, which is rare for that price. Sultan, the caretaker, is the nicest guy we encounter in South India . It's doing everything possible to make you happy and feel home. We both travel a lot the world, and it's pretty rare to be welcome as much as we have been here with him. Deserves 10 stars on 5. Lovely time

Bad experience. Congested rooms.. No water supply upto 1pm when i was there due to motor complaint so i went next cottage 300 meter from there for bathing. Rooms were not clean. They didnt give at least one hanger for my dress. How ever They charged 1200 rs per. day..How people giving 3 stars.

Do not stay if you're coming with family/ couples since this place is for drunkards and bachelors. Poor hospitality by the service persons available. They guaranteed home cooked food during the stay and only limited idlys and dosas are available. Even those items are also served with hatred. Drunkards are shouting all over the night and hotel people are also encouraging that despite the families stayed there. All of them are annoyed including me. These drunkards are battering the doors at midnight and disturbing us. You won't be allowed to go outside the room freely, you can't sleep peacefully, everybody will be boozing outside your room and you won't be getting any good food. Take this stay at your own risk!!

This is regarding SSS homestay which i booked through Booking.com.The service was extremely poor. There wasnt road to the homestay. And it was still under construction and was full of cement dust and full of drilling sounds. We booked 1 room 4 beds and they asked us to get accomdated in different rooms.we told them that it is not that we booked , and told them we will complaint . And they gave un another accomodation and asked us to cancel SSS HOMESTAY. We told we cant cancel because, we will be charged for it. Later we changed to another accomadation which was provide by them. Which even didnt have proper water and current supply.They also made us pay the entire money shown while booking for sss homestay and the service was so poor.

Worst service. When we went to get an admission they said that in the morning hot water will be available. But in morning there was no hot water. We enquired them about it. They said in a while we will get hot water. We waited and waited for a long time. They did not provided. Almost 8 times we went to ask them for hot water. All the time they said u will get it very soon. And we were going to check out from there. But that time these fraud people was not there. They escaped from us. Did not come in front of us.Atlast we didn't take bath due to severe cold climate. Such a fraud people and fraud service. I encourage those of you going to book this home stay please go for another one.

Not suitable location if you are landing in night in kodaikanal coz the way is too scary in night without any lighting on the road and you will not find any taxi . On the contrary in day the location is amazing and most importantly the caretaker is really helpful and very humble guy ready to help even in the night at 2 am. The important view points and location are also near and easily accessible.

We are highly satisfied with that manager response..apart from bachelors..for married couples and family members it was best one for that price..the only disappointment is there is no street light for 1.5kms..for movi g to center at ight time..but it won't be a major issue..manager sir will help u lot
