Osprey Individual Cottage Ooty

Not the place to stay when you are travelling with kids. Staff has access to heater switch and they turn off whenever the guest needs hot water the most (night and early morning). Rooms are not clean and washrooms stinks. However they did some cleaning when complaint was raised. Gas stove available and can be used only after paying additional 1000 rupees.

Not clean it's very dirty In the case of bathroom very very dirty in blanget very bad smell 🤢we feel the heater is not working in wall there so many dirtys Really the money waste

This cottage is located in the Ooty city itself. Praveen is the care taker over here and is a nice guy. There is 24/7 availability of hot water. Room are good enough but i personally it little stinky and mattresses very old and smelling. If they can improve that it would be great. You get the parking facility.

The caretaker is a very rude and arrogant guy. Once the money is paid, they don't care. The water heater is inefficient. The electrical boxes are open and unsafe. The wardrobe doors are broken. When you use the shower, the water comes inside the bedroom. Worst place to stay. Don't believe the paid reviews. I have attached the photos taken during my stay.

*Edit after owner response* Look Mr Sick owner by responding with your fake tone you are even spoiling your business more, rather you should improve your stay. For your kind information during a weekday I have booked a family room for 4480 via booking, your staff play a cheap tricks and asked me to pay all directly and cancel the booking via booking.com so that you don’t have to pay the commission with which I have still paid 4250 full cash and you are blabbering 1250, I can stick all the required screenshots, that is the costliest room you probably have owned because that is what is shown on booking and goibibo, so stop plying cheap tricks and now when you have admitted your actual reasonable rate those room are not even worth 1250.

The reach to this place is tough without Google maps, last 200 yards has kachha road only feeling you lost the route! The staff is very friendly. Parking is available inside the premises for 2 or 3 cars. Cottage is essentially having 2 rooms facing Valley view and other 2 without. One facing valley has greatest views to desire- you can lie in bed watching the mist fall outside, Night stars and day break over the city. Sun rises behind hills though. Food is cooked as you ask staff, they'll even get it from restaurants if requested. Rooms have good interiors- can't call it luxurious though. Budget stay visitor should feel more than the 1600Rs worth for a wooden floor valley view.

Stayed on 6th Jan 2022 night. Worst hospitality by the host Mr. Praveen, rude guy hot headed. Don know how to treat the guests. every time requesting us to adjust things wen we ask something missing/necessary. They don’t support after getting the money. Rooms were not clean upto the mark, small property. Not worth it. Was a worst experience. Vil give 0 out of 5. If they don’t have a facility they shud inform priorly, after paying they vil ask to adjust things which is not ethical.
