I wanted to give 5 stars for the location and cottage, but the sheer negligence and money-grabbing mentality of the caretaker completely spoiled our experience. I was so frustrated with his attitude that I decided to write this review, hoping it might bring some change. I noticed that previous guests have also mentioned similar experiences, and it's clear that the caretaker has not been replaced. We drove all the way from Bangalore to Kodaikanal with my wife, our 2-year-old child, and my friend's family, who had a 1-year-old. Typically, check-in time is 12 PM at most places. However, since their previous guests had booked more rooms, they were allowed to extend their stay until 1:45 PM. We, on the other hand, had booked just one room with extra beds and were forced to wait, request, and wait again. Neither the owner nor the caretaker responded to us during this time. When we finally got the room, I asked for the extra beds that I had reserved during booking. I had to ask the caretaker at least five times, and he only brought one bed, saying he would bring the second one later. He never came back. Exhausted from driving the whole night and staying awake until 2 PM, we had no choice but to sleep in a nearby room that the previous guests had vacated but was still unclean. At 3:30 PM, the caretaker woke us up and started complaining about us using that room. This, despite the fact that it was his fault for not providing the extra bed we had requested multiple times. They also demanded that we pay the remaining balance immediately, which we did after they finally gave us the second extra bed. Even then, there were no pillows, blankets, or rugs for the extra bed. We asked multiple times, but nothing was provided. It was extremely chilly, and we had babies with us. Fortunately, we had brought extra rugs from Bangalore, which we had to use. As for their pricing, it's ridiculous. A bonfire for just 2 hours was quoted ₹2000, 1kg of chicken costs ₹800, and half a liter of milk costs ₹100. In my broken Tamil, I told the caretaker that coming to Kodaikanal and choosing this place was a big mistake. I will never come here again and will not recommend this place to anyone. While the location was great, the poor service completely ruined our trip experience.

They are big scammers.... Room is worst no hygiene is maintained... No water service properly Mud water in washroom . I recommend not to choose this stay. Charging too high than that stay is deserving

One of the best Cottages, must visit , Rooms made in fully wooden maintain the temperature. It was an awesome experience, But only disappointed the caretaker ,he talk very Unnecessary speach behind, we don't expect this. He only money minded ,so careful and enjoy..
