I recently had a wonderful stay at Magpie Retreat in Bhimtal with my family. The location is great, offering stunning views of Bhimtal Lake and surrounded by serene woods. The staff at Magpie Retreat was incredibly warm and welcoming. They were always available to help with anything we needed and made us feel right at home. The food served at the retreat was delicious and home-cooked. The owner Neha, made sure to meet us and even helped us with a herbal pain alleviating tea. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Magpie Retreat and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway in nature.

Had a wonderful experience in Magpie retreat. The view was fantastic and we could see the Bhimtal lake from our room. The staff were also cordial and welcoming. Neha was an awesome host and knows Bhimtal in and out and suggested good places to visit. The place truly felt home. The food was also great. Overall, one word to describe our experience - Magical!!

It was an amazing stay at Magpie Retreat, just the kind we wanted away from the noise. It is a beautiful property with lots of greenery around. Rooms were pretty good and clean. Loved our time in the balcony soaking up the morning sun. The staff is really good. They’re professional, sweet and extremely helpful. And the food here is mind blowing. Anyone looking for a quiet vacation around nature, you don’t have to look further because this place is just what you’re looking for.

I recently stayed at Magpie Retreat with my family and had a wonderful experience. We chose this property to escape the noise, and it did not disappoint. Situated atop a hill, Magpie Retreat is a beautiful property surrounded by lush greenery. Unfortunately, the hot and sunny climate during our visit prevented us from fully enjoying the natural ambiance. However, the rooms were excellent—clean and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed spending time on the balcony, which offered stunning views of Bhimtal Lake. The staff at Magpie Retreat were outstanding—professional, friendly, and helpful. A special mention goes to Khimesh, who was exceptional and deserves a 10/10 rating. The food, prepared by Master Chef Suraj, was absolutely mind-blowing. For anyone seeking a vacation immersed in nature, Magpie Retreat is the perfect destination. Neha, our host, was knowledgeable about the forest area and very accommodating. Overall, our stay at Magpie Retreat was cozy and delightful. ---

We had a lovely time at Magpie this spring! Cozy and well kept rooms, friendly staff, great home cooked meals and most importantly - that view! Just amazing ❤️ Neha is a super host too and knows Bhimtal in and out! Stay here for a super local experience, fresh air and quiet time.

Spent 6 days hereThe view from the entire property is fantastic. The rooms are nice. Food is good. Staff is super friendly and hospitable and the host is amazing. If you looking to get away from the maddening crowd and enjoy the hills, this is the place to be.

Loved the experience of staying @ Magpie Retreat which has an excellent view of Bhimtal lake and the location of the property is so very serene. The food served was homely and excellent, we loved each of our meals. A big thankyou to the staff and Mohit for making our stay a memorable one. We will surely look forward to stay @ Magpie Retreat once again and this time for a longer duration.
