It's a very warm and wonderful place. Authentic home cooked tasty food. The homestay is owned by Swamiji who is a divine man. We enjoyed talking to him over dinner where he shared his wisdom. The place is very neat and clean and well maintained. Get hot water inspite of electricity issues. Very close to the starting point of Rudranath Trek.

Location: It is the nearest hotel to the connecting road to Rudranath Trek. There are 3 roads leading to Rudranath, this is the nearest one. The views are mesmerizing from this hotel. The also have parking area which is rare to get in Hilly hotels. Rooms: The rooms are excellent, a bit small but manageable as for one day. Cost for one day for triple sharing was 2k per day and can vary with occupancy. Neat and clean rooms. The blankets are cleaned and put in sun almost everyday due to which there is 0 chances for bacteria in it. The bathroom has hot as well as cold water according to your need. They have solar water heater for that. It has western toilet which is best for elderly ppl. Service: The best service and best behaviour till date I saw in any hotel/homestay. after trek when we came back we asked for a room for getting fresh and they provided us with minimum charges. They can arrange the Guide for the trek too.

A good place to stay before starting trek to Rudrnath 🙏. Rooms are clean and Food/Kitchen area is clean & hygiene. Meal & refreshments breakfast is Good in taste . Best thing is roof top area gives you a wide green area of sagar Village along with surrounding mountains and green belts..

Best place to stay when you are going to kedarnath Or rudranath or anusuiya mata temple trek. So many treks and the facility of providing a guide too. Delicious food, amazing view, great hospitality, neat & tidy rooms. Genuine price and friendly staff. Would love to visit and stay there again.

Beautiful location! CHOPTA-Mini Switzerland of India is hardly 29 kms ride from this global home stay. Food and stay is amazing. You can also learn yog kriya from Yogananda swamiji here. Best time to visit is between Sept - Mar. Do stay here once to regain your inner energy & peace.

The weeks we spent in Maharaja Sagar Ashram surpassed all our imaginations. As Europeans, we were pleased to see that every room was up to a European standard, which included necessary amenities. Comfortable beds, soap, towels - and just overall great cleanliness. The ashram’s rooms stand out with different colours, each accompanied by a sweet and gentle aura. Every morning we woke up to an Indian chai in bed. 🙂The ashram is located in the breathtaking HEART of the Himalaya Mountains. It feels like being dropped into a fairy world which becomes a reality in the mountains. The landscape’s beauty and the views of the Mountain create a feeling of AWE, just like the presence and teachings of the Himalayan spiritual master Swami Yogananda. Every moment with such a master inspires GRACE. The ashram is a special energetic place, surrounded by sacred temples and pilgrimage walks. It calls to everyone and anyone who is on a spiritual path.
