We had an absolutely magical night at Bharat Homestay! Tucked away in a quiet, secluded village at the end of the mountain, the place felt like a hidden gem far from the chaos of everyday life. It's about 30 km from Uttarkashi, and after a scenic drive through forests and muddy roads, you hike for about 15 minutes to reach the homestay — and trust me, it's so worth it. The owner was incredibly generous and welcoming. He served us a delicious home-cooked meal that truly felt like a warm hug after the journey. The homestay itself is cozy and creatively inspiring — they have painting kits, musical instruments, chess, ludo, and more. We spent the evening singing, painting, playing games, and just soaking in the peaceful vibe. It honestly felt like time slowed down here. I’ve never stayed anywhere like this before — if you’re looking for peace, creativity, and genuine mountain hospitality, this is the place. 10/10 would go back again!

Located about 20 km from Uttarkashi, this place is accessible by car, although the road can be quite challenging. Despite its remote setting, the property is impressively well-maintained, with thoughtful arrangements throughout. The design and decor reflect a great sense of taste and attention to detail. What truly stands out—beyond the comfortable rooms—is the warmth and hospitality of the homestay owners. Their genuine care makes you feel right at home. Surrounded by beautiful rhododendron trees, the area offers a serene and peaceful vibe, making it a perfect mountain retreat.

I was looking for a homestay in this less known Agoda village in Uttarkashi district, it is just 30 km away from the crowded Uttarakashi town.|It is an excellent place to stay and spend atleast two to three days in this peaceful village. There are multiple options of day hikes around so it's a great option for someone looking for an offbeat travel in uttarakhand.

Definitely the most beautiful place I have stayed in the Uttarakhand Himalayas so far. The place is surprisingly well done keeping in mind how far this can be to reach. Very thoughtful in the way things are arranged in the property and the whole place is very tastefully done. Besides the room, what you get with people in the mountains is the warmth and care of the homestay owners. They make you feel at home, Rajesh and his family went above and beyond. He also arranged for options to travel to his place from Uttarkashi, a wonderful guide (Pramod) for a trek to Darwa pass/ Dodital. Went for a stay, and made a friend. Hope to be back with my family soon.
