Jordan Homestay,Darjeeling

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Ms. Chukki, the owner, was exceptionally warm and hospitable. She took personal care of every member of our group, including the kids, which made our stay feel very homely. The property offers a breathtaking view of Kanchenjunga and the surrounding mountains, often veiled in clouds — truly a sight to behold. The food here is excellent, so be sure not to miss the meals. If possible, opt for the top-floor duplex room. It’s beautifully wooden and aesthetically appealing. The other rooms are decent but not as impressive. A plus point is the availability of multiple rooms, making it ideal for larger groups. One downside is the location — it’s about 1.5 km from the Mall area and located uphill near St. Paul’s School. Taxi fares range from Rs. 400–500 due to the steep route. However, walking downhill to the Mall is quite manageable if you’re up for it.

Our overall experience with Jordan Homestay was amazing. Everything felt like home , great hospitality by Ms. Chukki and her family. Food was awesome and it was better than most other restaurants in Darjeeling with affordable prices. Rooms were very good, especially the one in the top floor with duplex setup. You can have breathtaking views of Darjeeling amidst the clouds, and Kanchenjunga view if the sky is clear. Chukki and her sisters took personal care of every one of us throughout the trip till checkout. Very lovely and kind people. Will definitely recommend.

It was an amazing experience and the host was so polite and an amazing person. I really felt like home and the way they served dinner and made dinner for us I can never forget. every member of the house was so nice & kind. The rooms were good & outstanding they are a little bit smaller than our expectations but enough for the 2 people. Service was excellent and location was wow. It was quite far from the marker but it was worth it as I walked a lot after so long 😅😅. The view from the balcony of those stars and Kanchanjunga mountain like heaven. I will recommend everyone to visit here for great hospitality.

I recently spent 2 nights at Jordan home stay with my friends, and our experience was outstanding. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, while the room was immaculately clean and well maintained, comparable to a five-star hotel. What struck us most was the host's friendly nature, making us feel like we'd known them for years, not just met for the first time. And they graciously allowed me to cook myself in their kitchen, which was a lovely touch. On the top of it, the balcony and terrace offer a breathtaking view of the majestic Kanchenjunga, with crystal-clear visibility that will leave you spellbound. Would love to visit again.

We really loved that homestay!! The owners are the best, so kind and helpful! We had very nice talks and the meals they prepared were so tasty! The rooms are also very nice, clean, in a good condition and with a nice view, too. We really felt at home and will definitely come again, we are already looking forward ☺️

Recently We 6 people stayed at this property and the service was amazing especially the host Chuki ji, she is very polite and helpful, we have asked to cooked dinner for us and the food was very tasty, the rooms were very neat and clean, everything is perfect coming out of the room one can see the mountains of Kanchanjunga..this was a mountain view room. We will never forget such hospitality and location.
