Himalok Homestay

Himalok Homestay was one of the best places we stayed. Sagar and Sashi are fantastic hosts who made sure we were comfortable from the moment we arrived. The kindness and friendliness of the entire family really made our stay special. The food was outstanding, and we already miss both the delicious meals and our lovely room. Excellent homestay way to Darjeeling Mr Sagar and his family is an extremely helpful host. Had a pleasant stay for two days there with lovely homecook foods.

Stayed in late June 2024. The owner is extremely polite and cordial. The delicious home cooked food is awesome as you need fresh and healthy food in these places. Rooms are clean and well maintained.. The mountain view from the room is amazing.. Though the place is nearly 2.5 km from the mall road but it makes this very calm and peaceful.. Overall experience is awesome.

This homestay is highly recommended for tourists. The owner, Mr. Sagar Pradhan, is very polite, humble and helpful. From arrival to the departure of the tourists this man keeps helping. From arranging the taxis to asking the whereabouts of the guests he does all. He is very caring. And what to say about his wife! She was just as a caring mother. They maintain a routine according to their guests. The food cooked by Mrs. Pradhan is very very tasty and hygienic. I asked her to cook the local veggies and she never refused. It was awesome. The rooms are so beautiful, lovely and clean. The view from the balcony is amazing. Washrooms are also very neat and clean. We paid around 14,000/- for 3 people for 3 days along with food. Breakfast is free.

Pros: The food is delicious, reasonably priced and homely. The hosts are very humble and eager to serve. The location is a bit away from mall road but situated just off the Hill Cart road so commuting is not an issue. Kanchenjungha can be seen from the balcony and terrace if sky is clear. Cons: May require a housekeeping staff for cleaning of guest rooms daily. Bed is queen sized so can accomodate two persons only.

Neat and clean homestay with hygienic rooms,washroom.. Homemade food served with local cuisine by the owner is very delicious . The behavior of the owner is very polite and humble. The homestay is 2.5km away from the Mall road which is good as this place is quiet and calm, free from market hustle.

Amazing experience...the host will treat you as if you are a part of their family...any day it's the best homestay...the rooms were spacious and the view was amazing...it's an experience..
