The Gingko Eyrie

We had a wonderful experience staying at this homestay with my family. The sunrise views were absolutely stunning – something I’ll never forget. The host was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were spacious, clean, and offered a beautiful view, adding to the overall charm of the place. The homestay was calm and serene, amidst lots of greenery, where one can spend a whole day just by relaxing. My childrens had a great experience where they enjoyed a lot. The rooms were nice and clean. Big kudos to the owner for being a good host and making our stay comfortable.

I owe this to Mary, our host. Me and my whole family stayed here for 3 nights and it was the best stay we had in whole of darjeeling, Kalimpong. Food was homely, stay was peaceful, rooms felt like our own home. We really enjoyed the stay. Thanks to Sofia and rest staff who were so warm and helpful as well. Will see you again sometime soon… 🙂

This is one of the best places to stay in Kalimpong. The property offers stunning views, and the staff, including the owner and our host, are incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making me feel right at home. It was a truly comforting experience, and I can’t wait to visit again!

We stayed at Gingko Eyrie for 3 nights in November 2024. Our experience was just incredible. The property is so beautiful and homely. The food is also outstanding, in particular the fresh fruit from the garden that was served for breakfast along with the delicious spread of freshly prepared meals. We absolutely enjoyed the Pork Thali for dinner one night, by far the best pork curry we've ever had. Sophiya, Mary, and uncle Maurice very helpful with information and helped us organise transport and paragliding in Kalimpong. Even though she was busy, Sophiya went over and above to click some good pictures for us on the property. The rooms are also very clean and cozy. Overall, our stay Gingko Eyrie made our visit to Kalimpong very comfortable and memorable and would highly recommend it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Gingko Eyrie in Kalimpong, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The rooms, especially the cozy attic ones, are charming and comfortable, providing the ideal space to relax after a day of exploring. The host has truly put her heart into transforming her own home into one of the most welcoming homestays in Kalimpong. You can feel the warmth and care in every corner of the house. One of the special attractions at The Gingko Eyrie is the presence of the sweetest dogs, making it a paradise for animal lovers. The host and staff are incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. To top it off, the food is delicious, adding to the homely experience. Overall, my stay was filled with warmth, comfort, and beauty. If you’re planning a trip to Kalimpong, I would highly recommend The Gingko Eyrie. It’s more than just a place to stay, It’s a home away from home :)

We had a lovely time at The Gingko Eyrie we loved the hospitality of Marie Sophiya and the team ! The food and the presentation were a treat to remember. We trekked to the Durpin Monastery through the army zone and the fresh air was amazing ! We would like to stay at your new dorms coming up and taste the Oranges and Quash in our next visit !

I was hosted by Mary , I loved everything about their property. Amazing food was served. There are really attentive towards there guest , to be frank they are really really sweet. Its a destination on its own. M planning to revisit and You should too😊.
