The Cicada Retreat

My stay at the Cicada Retreat was nothing short of exceptional. The host Mrs Tashi and her family treated me like their own and that made my stay even more beautiful. The rooms were super clean and warm, and the home-made food was amazing. The rooms had a direct view of snowy-tops of mountains. The place is at a walking distance to the main market. Cicada Retreat made me fall in love with Kalimpong, and i would recommend each and everyone visiting the place to have a taste of it .

Had a very nice experience. Host Tashi really takes very good care and is very helpful. She knows what a tourist wants and suggested and arranged some very off beat places in our tour. We are extremely satisfied with her hospitality and would surely recommend staying in this place when in Kalimpong

I have visited Tirpai over many years, so it holds a special place in my heart. It boasts breathtaking views, has radiant sunshine, and a community of warm generous people. The Cicada Retreat exemplifies all the wonderful qualities. We had a great relaxing and comfortable time here and look forward to staying here again.

Great hosts and staff with delicious food !The rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable . Tashi and Rohan helped us with all travel arrangements , gave us helpful recommendations and made sure that we had everything we needed. If you are look for a good location with beautiful views and great customer service this is the place to stay !

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cicada retreat homestay in Kalimpong. The morning view from our rooms were wrapped in mist which transformed into sunny afternoons that revealed the mountains in all their glory. The atmosphere was wonderfully homely, making us feel right at ease. The local food was a highlight; every meal was a delightful exploration of regional flavors. The “kinema” and fried “Phambi” being my absolute favorites. Tashi and Rohan were exceptional hosts and they genuinely cared about our experience, ensuring we felt at home. Their warmth and attentiveness made our stay truly memorable. A small friendly yet reserved dog named Momo is the guardian of the retreat. Perfect place ! Perfect hosts ! And the perfect pooch ! What more could we ask for ? Would love to visit their other properties ❤️

If you want to feel home away from home, this is just the right place for you in Kalimpong. Tashi and Rohan have to be one of the best host duo one can ever imagine. Their property has got you covered for everything. From picturesque cosy corners to tasty home cooked foods even a cute little dog to pet! You will be treated as their own. We visited this property around mom's birthday and they arranged a very lovely birthday breakfast for her. She definitely had one of her best birthday ever... I am definitely going back sometime sooner to enjoy their company back.

What a beautiful place to stay at. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The hosts were so helpful, friendly and gracious, we had a beautiful picture window that looked straight out onto Kanchenjunga; we couldn't have asked for more.

It was amazingly beautiful! Tashi and Rohan were very much cooperative and they were more than the hosts!! We enjoyed a lot there and came back with tons of memories and good moments spent there with them!! Must visited place of you are in Kalimpong ❤️❤️
